Question Changelings in the Showers

While mulling over some characters in my head, I hit upon a question.

Lots of changelings aren't fully transitioned. There are also a few hermaphrodites (Vamp, Lina, unlucky maybe Murphy). Zenith mentioned having a working rod up until early junior year or late Sophmore year?

With Ayla, he basically outed himself, admitted he was intersexed, and maneuvered this into permission to use the instructor showers so as not to inflict himself on the girls or boys (and thus not have any of them try to get him in trouble, prank him, etc).

But what about the others I've mentioned. Vamp, Zenith, Lina? How do they handle the showers AND having male equipment down below? Did they use the instructor showers? what was their explanation for this?

Jade doesn't count, she figured out how to make it so you can't tell just by looking (and who looks at "seemingly" eleven year olds AND would loudly admit it in the showers?)

If they have Martial Arts or any class they need to change for at the end of the day, they could skip the shower until they get back to their cottage. They may get some strange looks and stuff but it would be better than getting outed.
To change into the gi or workout clothes at the beginning they could go to the bathroom and change in a stall.
They could just claim to be shy, or that they have some GSD they don't want anyone to see under their clothes.
Or they could do what Ayla did and change in the teachers locker room.

That's never been the impression i got from the scenes in the girls showers before or after martial arts though, but it would make sense. Perhaps most of the girls simply don't bother with it.

It was a question and honestly domo's answer seemed pretty viable to me.

Illusions, holograms, prosthetics, mind control, somebody else's problem fields, towels. Lots of ways of disguising an unwanted body part.

I'd go with "towels", and the fact that with only ten minutes between classes even for the girls it's going to be "get in, get done, get out".

That's also something to think about before scheduling back-to-back classes in Laird Hall with classes in Kirby or Dunn Hall.

Hrmmm... There's multiple different ways, I take it.

But at the very least, I do believe it was mentioned that the showers do have individual cubicles to work with. So there should be some privacy there. Towels are options too, though one might have to be careful about placement at all times. One also has the options to skip the gym showers, and just go to their dorms to shower instead. Handy if you're at the end of your classes. You might also have one of your fellow Poesies help the intersexed student blend in, and hide somehow. They do have some matter of support there.

The thing is though, is that this is also a lesson on how to hide this factor here. How to keep it in secret, and keep it in real life in the future. It's as much a challenge, as it is a lesson in real life, a daily matter they may have to face and deal with. If you're not already prepared to be in these showers, you probably won't be able to keep it hidden in real life either.

Ayla, I believe might be more of an exception to the rule than most others. Unlike other transgendered students, Ayla is quite public about being male and intersexed. He doesn't keep it a secret about how he wants to be treated, nor on what he is. For him, keeping it a secret would not only be offensive to him being treated female, but a weakness someone might want to use to blackmail him, which is the kind of weakness he'd root out right away. He never had plans on staying partly female after all. So with that, he decided to take a third option, and respect the wishes, and privacy of all the girls there. If a transgender student did try that otherwise, they might as well admit they were outed as intersexed.
