G for Genescum?
I love watching their innocent little faces smiling happily as they trip gaily down the garden path, before finding the pit with the rusty spikes.

They were using badges that gradually started to affect the people wearing them, as a way of recruiting/indoctrinating members.
As they were using Gadgeteers to make their technology, a Wiz-class mutant wouldn't be unexpected.
Add in the Cult-style approach towards recruitment/indoctrination, they would be a good fit as a cover-organisation for members of The Grand Hall of Sinister Wisdom.

What Gen 2 story were they in?Mister D wrote: Isn't that part of the MO for The Triangle from Gen 2?

I thought Triangle just used regular indoctrination techniques? Isolate, sympathy, induced dependency, love bombing, providing them a purpose, and so on.
They're like the very opposite of Paradigm. She was using supernatural means to indoctrinate followers for a noble purpose (in her mind, but many might actually agree with her). Triangle is using standardized techniques (for cults) to use mutants against other mutants and ultimately "enslave" them for "humanity's" gain.

As far as we know (Unless things change) Triangle first appears in the Imp stories which mostly take place in gen 1, Y 2... Whether they are around for Gen 2 or not is yet to be seen. I suspect they run afoul of someone who stomps them flatter than yesterday's road kill before that though.Katssun wrote:

D'Oh!
Sorry you're right. it's a Gen 1 Year 2.
If i got that wrong, i may be mistaken. (I don't need much of an excuse for an archive trawl...

I thought that the Triangle badges were used as a focus for low-level mind-control magic/Gadgeteer-based low-level mind-control tech, making the wearer more susceptible to the rest of the techniques that the Triangle are using.
Other techniques being similar to the ones used here,
