  • Sure, both. Out of curiosity, why?

    :???

  • Well, if you want to go with anotter kind of animan, it's your call. But keep your character out of gunfire situations. We don't want a beaver shot; this is a PG-13 website.

Don't call me "Shirley." You will surely make me surly.

  • Also, remember, their creator did design them with an eye to the preferences of the general public- or at least the Furry public- and Otters have a better visual appeal than beavers

Otters are very Photogenic... Otter Daughters are probably much more so...

Between the "eager beaver" trope and the incisors translating to buck teeth when anthropomorphized, beavers do end up with a "Jethro" vibe.

Then there's the whole "otter" vs. "bear" preference.

  • I was more just thinking a kid who got labeled Beaver cause his or her last name was Cleavero to a sick joke by the PTBM ended up being a wood eating rodent, who Muse has decided isn't a beaver or otter but a ground hog.

  • But then, wouldn't his name be Charles 'Chuck' Wood?

And how much wood could he chuck if Chuck could chuck wood?

Sure, you may think "What could be more wholesome than otters?" But as soom as you allow one group of mustelids escape your vigilence...

The Island of Dr. DNA .

"Is...is there a problem?" It was soft, hesitant voice at Nick's elbow. He turned to see a small girl, judging by her breasts, with slick fur and a lithe tail wearing jeans and a T shirt with the logo of the cafe on it and a name badge that said 'Joyce'.

    "Seal?" asked Nick.

"Otter," she replied with a smile. "Clydesdale?"
