  • I'm trying to work out when a student comes into Whateley late, that around what date are they considered part of the next year's graduating class?

Kerry is a Class of 10 kid and she came in around New Years, yet... huh, can't find an example off hand for the other side of the divide. Whisper maybe or Knock Off, though neither have arrived at the school yet.

  • I don't think there is a set cutoff. A lot will depend upon what the student needs to learn, both educationally and about their powers. Both Tennyo and Fey had completed their Freshman year of high school, but still have four years planned out. Phase and Generator are in a fight for most class credits.

  • It ultimately works a bit more like a standard US college/university with program major, minor, general studies and interdisciplinary requirements than a standard US high school 4 year program with basic field/category credit requirements. It's just that where a college would require X credits in general/liberal studies, Whateley puts your normal high school academic requirements. And for major/minors subjects, substitute the minimum course requirements for your power traits.

It's very easy for an Exemplar 2 with no additional powers to graduate in WAAAAY less than four years. Not only are they smart, but their 'major' field requires almost nothing.

On the other hand, an Avatar 1, Gadgeteer 1, ESPer 1, Shifter 1... would have a LOT of different core trait areas to study, even if they don't need to spend multiple levels on 'depth' and control.

A level 7 PK isn't going to need as many different study fields, but they'll spent far more time on depth and usage (control) classes to master it.

  • Ok, cool. That means I can get away with my little Ex 2/Esper2/Esper2 having a half year Frosh year.

Esper2/Esper2? So they have 2 ESPer powers? Or did you mean something else?

  • two esper powers: Danger sense and Finder. They tend to behave like she is a PDP in only one is active at a time.

Her MID says Probability warper just to make things more confusing. ;)
