Question Team Kimba

Probably not. Pheonix is writing Hank, but Bek has lost interest in Tony and all the other writers of the original Team left. They may show up in cameo or guest start spots in the stories, but don't hold your breath, but full Team Kemba story? Not likely.
Yes! All of the original authors are back and we expect to flood the site with weeks of 1000 plus word novels of individual adventures and cross over team books with page counts to rival George R. R. Martin! Real soon now, just keep clicking refresh!
I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it.

Jade? she's VERY hard to write POV and none of us want to try what Babs did with her.
Billie? same, but she will show up for bit parts in some stories
Fey? same
You have EE's note on Bek's view of Toni.
So - the reality? You'll see them around, but as POV characters? Not likely. Except Hank.

I think I will just say goodbye now. Best of luck to you all.

What confuses me about this is that we've given more or less the identical answer for going on four years. Even before Diane left.So why now and why publicly?amratner wrote: Thank you for your honesty.

We HAVE used the characters in combat finals vignettes as part of a larger themed story. I have used Jade causing mayhem in a French museum. I have used Ayla in Charge's stories. While not full POV stories, the characters are NOT dead, and they DO appear sometimes.
If you're fixed on the Team Kimba characters, then we DO have Phoenix writing Hank. But the other authors? Unlikely to see full POV tales of the other Kimbas. We DO have a lot of other characters. Have you not read them?

yup... and we've been working with some of the older authors to get at least their approval for what uses we HAVE been doing... so it's not like they haven't been able to steer us somewhat in the usage. In addition to Heather, JG and Renae all having worked with us and/or shown-up in the last several months.

Nothing for you to be sorry for. You're writing Hank very, very well, and including interaction with Team Kimba.

You're doing a great job writing Hank's story, I can't wait for the next.

I'm one of the biggest/obsessive fans of the WU and yes it sucks. Not having Kimba team stories. But that's ok . The way i see it. Now the remaining authors have time to flesh out the other 500 + students to compensate.

Huh. I can see how his "goodbye" does sound like he's leaving for good... But... could it be a unorthodox way of "good night"? Like, how I have to go to sleep soon? So... Goodnight?

Shit.
By the way Phoenix, need to talk and make sure something I'm doing syncs up for you.

It's sad that so much of that will never come to be.
It's also one reason why I'm way more invested currently in generation two than one. Here is a new cast of characters I can grow to love and if what you have said is true we won't see characters dropped off a cliff if something happens to their author.

It's somewhat the opposite for me. "Whateley" had always been this huge, daunting thing to me. But recommended heavily by its fans. Seriously, how do you get into something that you are Ten Years behind on? I don't mean something like Game of Thrones or Wheel of Time or whatever. This is something with a dozenpeter wrote: I can understand his reaction to a certain extent. It was Team Kimba that brought me to Whateley. They were very real to me and I was invested in seeing what happened to them and where they were going.

I dabbled my way in every so often in an attempt to get into the universe. I can say that I'm a fan of the Bad Seeds stories and firmly in the Vamp Camp. But the Kimba side of G1Y1 is huge. I've gone back into a few stories here and there, but it was Gen 2 that finally drew me in, and then I picked up the Kayda and Morpheus' stories and worked my way back up through the Outcasts and finally up to speed.
I enjoy the way the newer Gen1 POV characters bring in Team Kimba characters. I find them more relatable that way. Its also a lot easier going in, knowing that TK are heavy hitters in the grand scheme of things, but you're getting an "outsiders" perspective to their hot mess.

TK got me hooked, too, but my favorite stories became the non-TK stories, like "The Big Idea" and "The Book of Jobe" etc.

I have to agree as well. That level of diversity is what really drew me in. I'm a huge fan of world building. I can never get enough fluff and background material.TK got me hooked, too, but my favorite stories became the non-TK stories, like "The Big Idea" and "The Book of Jobe" etc.
