  • What's she look like, like hair color and eye color? All we know is that she's a bit chubby.

The mages all know she moves leylines? Does she count as a Wiz?

Spoiler that, though, 'cause while awesome, it's not germane to the Geomancer discussion?

  • Conjure and Spellbinder were Hekate's flunkies, so they might be... untrustworthy. Unless you are thinking of having this assignment to be some sort of punishment.

She-Beast and Diamondback come to mind -- they are not the most powerful witches at school, but they are probably among the more knowledgeable, since they rely on technique rather than raw power.

Otherwise, there's a bit of a shopping list here:

  • Well, we're not even gonna pretend this is a Geomancer thread anymore... Well, I started the derail... *shrugs*

Given that in-universe, this is something the mentors want to do of their own volition. I needed people with enough free time to do the tutoring.

Good point. If they hooked up with Hekate, it does seem to be a point against them, even if I have Hexette old enough to make an offer first... I'm thinking Hex's a frosh. but do we know she is? Wiki doesn't say. Unless Hekate's blackmailing them into working for her? What info do we have on them outside of Hekate's influence?

She-Beast, likely can't mix being a fixer with too many other things? And Diamondback also has other stuff?

Could just have Hexette by herself, teaching witchery to the TLW, as a sorta Twilight Sparkle figure... to fit with my CMC ref... *shrugs*

  • if the question at hand is a teacher for the TLW?

and you want a 'punishment' detail?

I would go Beltane in gen 1 year 1 as she is a junior and a REAL top notch prankster! So her getting punished to look over the kids I can see!

as for geomancers powers? she might be a strange warper that can move ley lines----think of "ley" as rivers of magic and JUST not AS magic to get my point. She warps where they go to on the planet

  • 36069: If the question at hand [...]

I thought I was pretty clear on the questions... The spoilered stuff in the OP was just to explain why I was asking, incase anyone was wondering.

  • I don't know if she has a Wiz trait, but she was in the Spring Intro Finger Wriggling class.

Correction: Winnie is at least a Wiz-2.

She spoke, “This course is more like Art Appreciation than learning to become an expert in an art form, say, painting or sculpture. But this term, there will be aspects of that kind of learning in this class, since we have only two students here who are not at least a Wizard-2. One of them is working with three Wizards already, and the other is going to be taking some of the Magical Arts curriculum anyway.”

Ayla and Tansy are the two non Wiz's.

    Don't Drick and Drive.

  • ^ Thanks for Ninjaing me! Congrats! ... I went there to check out Foxfire warning everyone about Pally, and then noticed that.

... Why is Winnie so undescribed? I wonder if it's important...

  • When Winnie was first introduced I described her. She has mousy brown hair, brown eyes, is rather plain looking and a touch chubby. All the good things that can help a growing girl feel better about herself. It is easy to forget how she looks because she is fairly non-descript in that environment, where there are a lot of good looking people.

Winnie does have some magical skills, but not much. Her trait is more about power than it is skill. She is a bit of a warper because she can interact with this energy and manipulate it. She can even cut people out of their connections to ley lines, which is a big deal. Working with greater and lesser ley lines is a big deal because the vast majority of wizards cannot even begin to do that.

She might help with the TLW but she wouldn't be a good tutor for them because the girls will run right over her.

And I swear by my pretty floral bonnet that I will end you. - Captain Malcolm Reynolds, Firefly
