Question Emil Hammond info? Is he working for Nimbus?

He's a scientist, and apparently doesn't mind working with mutants, given that he used mutant bodyguards before, and had a mutant change his identity...
Is his hatred of mutants a facade? Or is he a pragmatic hater?
Could he be working with Nimbus? As Nimbus's main project is Ayla, and he should be monitoring her to know if Hammond's MGC Suppressor did anything to Ayla's iteration of his project...
What do we know about Emil Hammond that isn't already known?
Speculation is totally fine!

The problem with that is that Trevor met him both before his body mod and after, although if he is actually a mutant and is concealing that successfully from the Goodkinds, that may not be as much of a problem as it might seem.

And no, that's not a canon cabal answer. That's a typical ElrodW smart-ass answer.

No one? *Raised eyebrow of Supreme Authority* Not only did I ask, I also demanded the history if you'll recall...?
I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it.

Couldn't remember if that was a private or a public conversation.
Suffice to say if I spelled it phonetically, NO-ONE could guess how it's properly spelled

And a few Gen 2 people have seen it on our private shared-data site, so they can't guess either.

elrodw wrote: My guess - Emil Hammond has the middle name Richard, and he's a small, arrogant, pompous man with Small-Man's disease, a huge Napoleon complex, and a very, very bad case of envy that all the other boys in the locker room put him to shame (if you know what I mean). He's looking for a mutant power that he can graft to himself to overcome the last problem..... Thereafter, he can be known as .... (Well, y'all can figure that one out pretty quickly.)

Hmm. I'd have to dig through all my messages when we conversed, but I may have never bothered to ask. I could have thought it stood for Woodenhead but I'll go with Wojciehowicz.

Don't give Elrod any ideas, although I doubt this is the case. He is more cruel, sadistic, and clinical torturer than playful, teasing, and somewhat silly tormentor like Wihanape is depicted as towards Danny so far. .Corvacks wrote: Does the W stand for Wihanape so that Elrod can torment Kayda more directly
Thank You for story comments appreciated and help me know me they are being read and liked.

mittfh wrote: Elrod's had the W attached to the end of his pseudonym since at least 2012-13 (after a quick check on some BCTS posts to confirm the W wasn't a later addition), so definitely predates Kayda. His pseudonym probably isn't intended to be an anagram of Red Owl or Weldor.
I'll consider writing a custom story for anyone (apart from canon authors) who can guess what W stands for AND spell it correctly!

The W was there right from the start, although originally there was a space before it -- the very first story he submitted to Fictionmania, back in 1998, was credited as "by Elrod W".
My guess would be that it's the initial for his real surname, and it's one unusually long and hard to spell. Maybe a German or Polish one.

Did you have to look it up or did you just know it because "you spell it exactly how it sounds"?Ib12us wrote: Wojciehowicz? Nah I don't think so.
