Don't worry, you'll be seeing more of Penny soon enough. She won't show up too often, given that she's not going to Whateley, but she's still around.

Think of the earlier fanfics as accurate as a news report on CNN..

I love watching their innocent little faces smiling happily as they trip gaily down the garden path, before finding the pit with the rusty spikes.

or ANY news show/channel
they all have their own slanted view of reality that effects their reporting.
Stupidity is a capitol offense, a summary not indictable one.

Could be worse. He could have saif Fox.
I suspect that Erica will become involved in either whatever happens or the squid's robbery.
Hope so anyway.

Unfortunately, there really wasn't any good way to work her into the coming insanity of Part 2, and in any case her normal school year would have started several weeks ago. We're imagining that she and the grandparents were visiting the Big Apple for a Labor Day get-together with Erica's family.

But... but Oma... you were "occupied" and I DID leave a note...

And if this somehow turns into a Cousin Penny discussion again, feel free to make a thread for her, too

Not that it's much of a spoiler or anything (and those who remember the second half of Erica's old fic might recall as well), but that sort of describes how Margit introduced Adolf to her parents...

IDTWIKA-1 wrote: "Good. And you're convinced this new serum will be more ... effective than the last batch? You only had one ..."
"Two," the doctor interrupted sharply.
"Two successes ... out of fifteen trial subjects?"
"Sixteen, Herr Rolf," the Major corrected, still stroking his monk-cat. "The fourteen failures were unfortunate, but that is the price of success. And that is a significant improvement over the first two tests."
"It is going to be difficult to cover up another series of 'disappearances' and mysterious deaths," Herr Rolf sighed heavily. "Oh well, so be it. It is the price of our ... project."
"With the new protocols, failures should seem like natural causes," the Doctor interrupted again.
"I hope so. It was most expensive keeping the questions to a minimum on the last test set," Herr Rolf growled. "And the two subjects?" He changed the subject.
"Are both under observation," the Major reported instantly. "Conveniently at the same location, where our operatives are monitoring them and are ready to step in to protect them if necessary."
These two correcting Herr Rolf on the number of successes are referring to Erica who was completely unexpected in their plans. That means one other student at Whateley managed to survive the same serum.
Then in part 6, Laura receives a cryptic message to meet in the woods and is protected by an inside student working for Stauffer when the boy shoots a dart at the girl planning to jump Laura (Stahlfaust most probably, or some student she delegated the job to). Does that mean that Laura is the other girl that survived the serum? It doesn't fit with her Gen2 intro, but I can't help but feel there's something between Laura and Erica and the Nazis.

Having said that... I've not studied them in detail but just casually seeing the news stories about NeoNazis/White Supremacists/Alt-right/Illinois Nazis (sorry, Blues Brothers made me include that one)/Etc shows me that there are lots of groups of them and while they may agree on some of the broader points a lot of them disagree on some key issues... So it wouldn't be off-base to assume that a bunch of them work together but that they'd butt heads and not get along at points in that relationship.
Heh, and that others may fight like cats and dogs.
