  • Was thinking about WhatIFs (Fanfics), and am wondering if the site should host fanart as well, or link to DeviantArt or something?

  • It's fan art. You'd have to ask the fans that created it. I don't have control over it. If they want a gallery or something to put it up, I can certainly create something.

  • Speaking of that DA group. It seems they are no longer accepting members or the group is inactive. Perhaps a new one is needed?

  • A gallery might be nice. I got a few pictures I could put up. I think I used to have a title card too, at some point.

But is it allowed to be put up on this site?

  • For the moment, I have a random art panel up in the left sidebar below the ad. I'm working on setting up an actual gallery to go through just art specifically... but in the meantime, if you want to put art up for the random panel, it will need to be JPG format. The gallery will take anything, but this little module will only randomize from one type of file format. It will force anything into a 300 px width, height proportional to that (so don't get much smaller than 300 px wide or you'll get blurry when it blows it up).

Once the gallery page is done, people will be able to post on their own... in the meantime, just link art here and i'll put it in the folder for you.

  • Note: the random image folder mainly just has a pile of Tavi research images in it to cycle through until people actually submit some stuff... so don't worry that the ferrets are taking over the site, somehow.

  • She has explained -- for the time being, attach images to a message in this thread.

She hopes to have the Gallery plugin working in the near future. When it goes live, just upload stuff to the Gallery.

  • Ya, the only thing holding me back from opening a Gallery this second is working out how to limit image uploads to the one correct folder, ideally handed by the gallery itself. I may have to buy a pro module to do it, most of the freebie ones are too basic and rely mostly on an admin doing all the uploading and gallery layouts.

So for the time being, post here and I'll copy them to the right folder.

All SFW, or NSFW allowed, or warnings, or possibly two groups??

  • If we have stuff that's NSFW, then IMHO we should segregate it into two separate folders. While I personally wouldn't give a flying rat's ass, in the accidental event that a web page was on my personal laptop (which I also use at work), my managers and a few co-workers WOULD take great offense, and then the HR SJW inquisition would begin, and my life would become a living hell, not least because I'd spend the next six months in PC 'sensitivity training' classes (and having to repeat them when they obviously didn't take!).

  • Let's keep the NSFW pieces offsite. Unless we can show that their addition is worth losing our Google ads. We'd also have to restrict membership/visiting the site to 18+.

Ironically, some of the Google ads are probably in worse taste than the art or stories...

If they force you into one of those classes go in wearing a furry suit and clam you're a rabbit. If they disagree scream that they're denying your identity and triggering emotional trauma. Then start crying and demand a safe space while calling your lawyer. They'll never bother you again.

I remember seeing the Shisa one somewhere...

On first glance, I missed Tink's wings 'cause they weren't as bright as Tink's hair and blanket-thing, and she reminded me of Hermione Granger, for some reason. Bushy hair-ish and school tie?

... What's with the flying fish outside the windows? ... Can Tink write with that pencil? ... And there's a GOOD LUCK banner at the top for some reason...

And in answer to your other questions.
The fish are artwork. And the good luck is just wishing the students good luck in the coming year, and hopefully they avoid getting killed.

I don't know why it's empty. I just said, "(Teri's description) in a field or classroom," and she did the rest.

Between 60 and 90 dollars, I've had her do a few. I specifically asked her to do one every month, month and a half. It helps that I give a loose description and relax, Usually there are a few touch ups that need doing, but she shows her progress so fixes are easy. The main things with these two were bigger wings for Teri, and changing the lighting, elongating the fingers for Shisa.

No clue, but can't hurt to ask. Although I already sent her another five, and she's in the process of working on the last picture from the last batch, so I am keeping her a little busy.

  • When I get around to it, I'd want a very clear schedule/process and a contract (ie I want to hire someone who is going to take it seriously and professionally, even if they've not done work professionally in the past). And I know what a normal schedule/timetable for something like this IS... and its not vaguely in the months... or even in the weeks. Your 'average' webcomic artist is drawing/inking 5-20 panels per week with anywhere from 1-5 regular characters who have to sync up to their normal appearance and easily that many more support characters... and they're not (usually) claiming that to be a 40 hr work week. Add in that because they are sketching to spec (there is little to no creative input on concept for the character... that is already defined by existing stories). I'd be flexible with timeline for a volunteer... but if I'm going to spend a couple hundred dollars on art; its going to meet my standard and deadline. :-p

  • Ever had a caricature done by a street artist or at a fair/park? Less than five minutes and in most cases the end result is something you'd be proud to frame and put on your wall. I've seen fantasy artists at cons do the same thing after a quick look over a character sheet and five minutes talking about the character.

  • I don't do much for commision artists etc. But i do have one i highly recommend. forums.darknestfantasyerotica.com/index....st-for-updates.5504/

She does amazing work in a very timely/professional manner. Most of her work is NSFW. But i'm sure you could convince her to keep the clothes on. *Laughs* And i do have a couple of her pieces. Lemme see if any of them are safe for posting. This is a pic of one of my OC's for World of Warcraft on Valentines day.

sounds like a good way for Viki-Vaki to get a full 'card' of commissions Dom? Maybe hit her up for all of us and see if they want a group deal?
