With the number of Micro-threads being posted under one location, I'm wondering if it wouldn't be best if its placed under the authors somehow. With the added numbers that has recently been procured it becomes a daunting task in itself to read them by who posted them.
I understand they are stand alone except that many people ref them at times and as many a persons memory is fallible it's hard to keep reference of them. I suppose I could also just copy and past them into a word or other document to keep it separate but I think of those that don't want to.

In the old forums the 'Micro Scenes' where all throw away, 'quick jokes for a rainy day type stuff', and, yes, much more micro, I probably have to appologise most for pushing the size hardest.
I think the expectation is that if the author is inspired, they'll expand on them and make proper stories themselves, though Kristin has always said she's open to a 'greatest hits' version of the micro-scenes, it just has to be written well and read like a story, trying to fit these requirements was how I started writing my attempt at a FanFiction published story.

I was looking at the newest ones that came in and such. So if they are true throw aways then I shouldn't need worry.

Speaking of micro-scenes... there was a separate thread in the old forums which was quite popular for a while: the karaoke night. Does anybody have a backup of that?
Don't call me "Shirley." You will surely make me surly.

I have a single page - covering 14 posts called 'Campus Karaoke'. The posts are be several different authors, including one entry by yourself Sir Lee. If you'd like a copy send me a PM with an e-mail address to which I can send it.

Most if not all of the recent ones, are reposts from the old forum. A few of mine I left off for various reasons, one because of context, one for length, and I want to rewrite it.

There was also the "Signs at Whateley" thread, which I rather enjoyed.

Sadly that is not one of the threads which I saved. I used to enjoy that as well - it was usually good for a giggle!

I think a lot of that thread actually was on the "temporary" forum Kristin first put up, I don't think anyone saved anything from that forum.

Are you talking about the Signs thread or the Karaoke thread? Because the Signs thread was definitely from before the temporary forum.Phoenix Spiritus wrote: I think a lot of that thread actually was on the "temporary" forum Kristin first put up, I don't think anyone saved anything from that forum.

Signs thread, it was from "before" the forum, but it was also most defiantly one of the most active threads in the temporary forum too.

Wow! I totally forgot about the temporary forum...Let's see if I saved anything from it... Seems not, don't hold out hope.
... Also, if you change the subject from the default when you reply, what does that do? I guess it makes the micro threads that are the main topic?

Depends on how you have the forums setting defined. There's a threaded view version that works with changed subject names and where/who specifically you reply to. I haven't spent much time looking at that, I tend to prefer just linear by time threads
