  • Something I've been musing on a bit - sneaky but relatively mundane (i.e. non-combat, non-professional) uses of powers.

For example, a technopath (cyberpath?) having lunch in a mall notices lots of people using one of those claw grab machines, but none walking away with the prize. They casually walk over to the machine and subtly 'interrogate' the code, and discover a suspiciously high profit margin - so tweak the code to give better odds. If they're smart, they'll also install a routine that reverts the original code if a technician examines the machine to see why profits are down. If they're even smarter, they'll present the original code to the technician, while their code reinstates itself a random period of time after (or once the profit generated by the machine exceeds a preset amount).

Or a water manifestor driving a little too fast for the speed limit spots a safety camera sign... and mysteriously, as they near the camera, it gets surrounded by a highly localised dense fog, which dissipates once they're out of range...

What other examples can you think of?

As the right side of the brain controls the left side of the body, then only left-handers are in their right mind!

That all depends on the machine having enough memory or something to run that code, but things are usually over engineered, so that's possible? Or if somehow Devisor Technopath...

Not really sneaky if the camera is video + speed radar...

Electro-kinetic making faux-static shocks, that are power generated than 'natural' static accumulation.

  • Heat control - Keeping your food warm, or self warm in winter.

Not sneaky, but wind control allows the fashion model's blown hair effect

And mess around with people by blowing their hair instead, which is sneaky, possibly.
