I have to confess that I have a bit of a peeve about companies who market things like safety boots and power tools to women by coloring them pink.

Any woman who is shopping for power tools she intends to use is not going to be the sort to be impressed by that color.

On another note... I'm wondering if cybertwee actually might compromise function, or something, if 'masculinity' is possibly actually due to efficiency of form, or something. Like, Metal is naturally Grey/Silver, so painting it does stuff, and makes it more expensive??

But hey, that's like, likely to be totally wrong.

  • On the other hand there's nothing wrong with women asking for traditionally male items to be made in pink. I even saw an episode of a TV programme where a woman bought a custom made .45 automatic and asked the gunsmith to make bright pink! The guy nearly had a heart attack but... by the end of the programme even he had to admit that the gun created a lot of interest from the other ladies taking his 'Gun Safety Training Course'.

It makes feel less safe because now I'm imagining Jade with an assault rifle going 'Say hello to my little friend!'

  • Belphy isn't so much into "cute"; she's rather more into the "sexy."

And before there even was a Wondercute, Superchick attempted to bring her to the Unicorn Side and Belphy was sort of... appalled.

I would say that you might be correct in some way but....

My step-daughter had chosen pink over the other colors available. She's not into everything pink but she does like it better over some others. So there is a market for those who would buy it.

Now that is an argument I can buy one hundred percent. Job site theft is a real pain in the neck and I think you've hit the nail here.

    This! 100% this!

There was one member of a metal-working forum where i lurk, that bought some similar tools, as they were very distinctive, and sure enough, while a few people that he worked with took the piss, that subsided after a few days, but his tools were never stolen.

  • I heard of a guy at my college who, upon getting their bike stolen, replaced it with the pinkest bike they could find.

According to the section on Gzmatic crystalhall.wikia.com/wiki/Gizmatic , he is a Doctor Who fan. Depending on the nature of his fandom, he might find the Dalek robots abhorrent or a suitable method for keeping the Drow out of trouble.
