    • It's been a while since I've really been on this site. I kinda dropped off the radar when the move happened (never been big on change), but now I've been able to get over the change and I'm back. I was just wondering how many of the cabal (TINCC) do we still have actively writing? Did Diane ever return? Do we still not know what happened to Babs? What about Starwolf, JG, and Dr Bender? I'm quite fond of all the Authors writhing styles, but those are the ones that last I checked went AWOL so to speak.

    I want to put out a thank you to all the authors for which this series wouldn't exist without. Thanks guys.

    • No changes in a negative direction in a number of years. We've finally wrapped up 'most' of the plot lines from the Team Kimba freshman year of Gen 1 and are about to move on to year two, which will still have some TK involvement, but will mostly focus on other plots/stories and introduce more characters to get us out of the 'how do you progress when everything is about this one group of students" problem.

    We've added the Gen 2 storyline, we've brought Elrod, Morpheus, Sleethr and Phoenix-Spiritus as active Gen 1 writers (Phoenix taking the reins on Hank to give him his own author for the first time ever) and we have our eye on a couple more candidates for filling our ranks a bit more.

    We've also revised our handling of 'fan fiction' by introducing the Whateley Independent Fiction system (WhatIF) which allows non-canon authors to get their stories out of the forums and up on the site in their own section.

    Starwolf and Maggie have stopped by long enough to set up accounts, but haven't done much more than that. Dr Bender / Branwyn set up an account, let us know she's now in a relationship, out as TG and in transition... and possibly working on something Sara-ish. I see activitity from Heather on Google+ and Facebook regularly, but though she agrees to stop by and set up an account when I chat with her, she's yet to get around to it. Diane is still active at Twisting the Hellmouth as a reviewer, though she hasn't contributed any new stories there in some time. JG is still 'on sabbatical' getting a college degree. Babs is still MIA.

    • Actually, Diane is pretty active as a writer in TTH. It's just that her stories are so long that it takes a long time for a new title to show up. For instance, her last finished story was 200 chapters long, published at a rate of about 2 chapters a week -- took about 2 years to finish. The previous one was even longer.
    And then, there's "Cross Purposes." This is listed as a story, but it's actually more of an anthology. Now and then (like right now) she adds an entire new story to it. But it's not *listed* on the site as a new story.
    She keeps saying that she intends to come back to writing Ayla, but I'll believe it the day I see it.

    • To revisit this a bit, I was just wondering if anyone had heard from Drunkfu since the old site went down, as DF doesn't seem to have set up an account here, at least not under that name.

    I know that a bunch of canon authors have gone off of the radar over the past few years, starting with ScramblerJ way back in... what, 2005? I also know of at least one, Liliandra, who was recruited but vanished before she had finished her first story. Does anyone know anything about either of them, or Maggie, Renae, Babs, Hart, Motley, or Sleethr?

    Just to catch up on catching up ...

    JG is writing - at such a mad pace that he is filling the queue single-handedly.

    Heather HAS set up an account and is commenting, and has contributed segments to the latest Kayda story. If she doesn't get back into writing, I will be consulting with her a LOT since Chou is now Kayda's roommate.
