  • I am thankful for friends, family, and that my sister and I have a plan to walk out of the house if politics come up at the Thanksgiving table.

I am a caffeine heathen; I prefer the waters of the mountain over the juice of the bean. Keep the Dews coming and no one will be hurt.

  • Not being a religious person, I won't be "thankful" to an unseen agent. Instead, I'll give thanks directly:
Thank you, Kristin, for all the time and money you put in to make the new site work and revitalize the community.
Thank you, Warren, for keeping a watchful eye for spammers and attackers.
Thank you, E.E. and Bek, for keeping the canon stories going during perhaps the lowest point in the WU story, in terms of number of active writers.
Thank you, J.G., for coming back.
Thank you, Elrod and Morpheus, for stepping up and bringing not only your enthusiasm and productivity to the 'verse, but also lending your established reputations to it.
Thanks to all the inactive canon writers too; for even if you are no longer actively contributing, you gave a lot of yourselves to shape the universe, and that's no small thing.
Thanks to all the new(er) writers who tackled the ambitious Gen2 project, and also for daring to enter the churning waters of Gen1.
Thanks to the WhatIF writers who keep sprouting new ideas.
Thanks to the volunteers who helped migrate the old content to the new site, and now help the WhatIF writers to prepare their stories for publishing.
Thanks to the commenters who are capable to discuss, analyze and criticize the stories without devolving into personal attacks.

And, since right now the Wiki is sort of my bailiwick... thanks to everybody who ever contributed even a single character to it. It does add up.

Don't call me "Shirley." You will surely make me surly.
