P.S. Now, at least I'm on par with at least a low-ranked gadgeteer. Goddamm it. I've been reading too many of these stories...

You haven't been reading too many of these stories until you try to build something in the stories you've read.

The University of Georgia, Founded January 27, 1785, Athens, GA. We're familiar with the term.

I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it.

Congratulations!
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree granted by the University of Florida's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences myself, back when rocks were softer and UF was still considered one of the United States' top party schools. Come for the degree, leave with cirrhosis!
FWIW, most U.S. "Colleges" are either major divisions of a University that is accredited to grant advanced degrees or institutions that are accredited to grant four-year degrees. YMMV, as some of the latter have grown to the point of providing fairly prestigious advanced educations. Oberlin College comes to mind.
CrazyMinh wrote: SO far, all my statements of 'I'm a student of Engineering' have simply caused people to edge away from me muttering neeerrrd in hushed voices at parties.
I'll let the audience judge how much nerdier that is than a) taking degree-track Materials Science and Environmental Science courses as stress relief during gradual school, and b) spending enough time in the computer labs, that the only people who clapped when I walked up for my degree were from the College of Engineering

Well, unless someone here has a masters of Mechatronic Engineering. Then, I'll defer to them. But, if you want a low-cost (free), professional (sorta) advisor, you've got one.
Congratulations!

Does this include any accreditation/certification process? I know that some countries are very picky about titles and such. The U.S. is usually okay as long as you work for a corporation...but we have things like semi-optional exams and qualifications.
