I've been wondering about the robo jox as a part of the whateley universe. While a lot of the other student groups have been covered in their own (or by major cameos), I have not found a story featuring the Robo Jox as a veiwpoint. Is this on the planning for the Whateley Universe??? Cause I have a ton of ideas that could easily work as a great side story, and I bet there are others on this site who also have ideas for a story about them. Also, would a story about them create problems with the creator of the vindicators, because it's known that Dynamax is a member of the Robo jox.

The short answer is that although the club exists, no one has written to it. Part of the reason I suspect is that at a certain level robojox are power-armor drivers, unless they make something like the Bolo that is in one of the original canon stories.

I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it.

No, there's no story about them per se, and such a story would likely be very boring to read. Consider. You could make a good TV Show or movie about the Robot Jox because all the boring bits could be glossed over with montage sequences of two seconds, kid wielding, three seconds, kid soldering circuit board, five seconds of kid raising limb on a chain hoist, five seconds of kid turning a nut with a socket wrench then wiping brow. Put some appropriate heavy metal over the sequence, done.
Well I just glossed over about fifty pages of Robot Jox story. Did it sound like something you'd want to read?

FWIW, there is one Lit Chix story featuring a power-frame driver, as a victim of campus infighting:
The Clue of the Unseen Switch
There probably is a good short story to be had from Little Bee's POV, just not a happy one.
The biggest problem is that there's no unifying goal or challenge for the Robo-Jocks (who only have some classes and projects in common) that cannot be box-texted as E.E. described. There may be a volume of notes and research behind that box text, but not much will end up in the story.
As far as Dynamaxx and the Vindicators go, you'd be writing your own story, right? You could have him come down with terminal mange and it shouldn't affect the canon stories unless Bek and the others were amused enough to run with it. If Kayda can handle four training teams, Max should be able to handle being on a second team that has nothing at all to do with Korrende.

The Robo-Jox are more of a club than anything else. A club focused on a single thing. You might as well ask why there are no stories about the Chess club.

I love watching their innocent little faces smiling happily as they trip gaily down the garden path, before finding the pit with the rusty spikes.

Well the problem with writing about the Chess Club is the PG-13 rating of the stories....

Not necessarily a full-on story, but you could get some good background flavour using them, or any of the other school clubs.
Sitting in the lunch-room/cafe, "Did you hear what they did this time?" {Insert some flavour of noodle incident involving power armour, without going into any details about what the cause was}
Reply of "Oh, that's nothing. Did you hear about the time that...{another even more unlikely noodle incident}?"
"Yeah, well that's armour-jockeys for you. Want to grab some dessert?"

I guess one question a story could answer is if there is a training team that focuses on robojox... Maybe explote how they are actually different from power armor drivers after all.
