  • Just wondering as I haven't seen a new piece of Whateley fiction yet today and it is after 10:00 PM her time.

  • Strange schedule with work today, actually. Had the closing security lock up last night (6 to midnight) and then opened the theatre this morning working 9-2.. and spent the bulk of both shifts pressure washing the concrete of the courtyard and the exits of the facility. I knew on Saturday that I was getting home in time to handle the update so didn't bother to preset it... but then when I sat down after work today, I crashed. So here I am ... bleary eyed, and updating the site for this week. :P Not sick... just getting old. Doesn't seem that long ago that 11 hours of manual labor and long days/split shifts wouldn't have even phased me. This need for naps is... uncool.

Hmmm power washing doesn't seem to be in the job description for audio engineer. WTF?!

And, it goes to eleven. For when they need that extra push, y'know?

Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder?

  • My regular contract is sound, yes. But in the summer when that company is closed for three months? I have to take whatever work I can get. Can't afford little niceties like sticking to things that fit my experience and education.

... as to the large console? 96 channels in isn't all that many. Not in this age of virtual channels served by a handful of physical dials and sliders. Ok, it may be a lot in a house seating 100. But it's not that unlikey to see one that big. Especially if you start individually miking a large orchestra and/or chorus.
