Question ...Gen:lock is now stupid

A frakking paywall?
To watch a indie mecha anime?
Just the same day as Gen:lock launched, the last ep of RWBY Vol 6 went up for non-FIRST members.
How is it in any way logical to restrict content for one show completely, and allow, I dunno, people on a student budget who already pay for a better service like Crunchyroll, to watch another for free with a weeks delay?
Rooster Teeth has officislly lost the plot, and buried their indie heads up their own asses. I wanted to find out what happened next, and they don’t even give me the courtesy of telling me that unless I pay their extortionary prices, I can’t watch a frakking TV show. If they want money, get some bloody ad revenue or domething. Spend less money on Michel D Joggan or whoever, and more money on decent framerate. Actually stop pretending to be a big company, and act like a proper indie developer!
Jesus, it’s just greedy. I mean, if they’re going to restrict content that they’ve made s big fuss about, I’m just torrenting that shizzle from piratesbay or something. I’m not kissing their ass if they’re not going to respect me as a consumer.
Any comments?

And btw... telling people on this site, many of whom are creatives with plenty of copyrights to their names that you're going to go pirate / rip off someone else because they didn't make their content 'free' to you... isn't going to endear you to anyone.

1) Pavlova
2) pie floater
Alternatively, write a faithful and non-sarcastic Star Trek Discovery fanfic featuring a Mary Sue.

Wasn't Pavlova invented in New Zealand?

It looked like something that was at least salvageable as a recipe.null0trooper wrote:

I have made and enjoyed Strawberry Pretzel Salad which sounds and looks awful, but tastes pretty great.

Ok, I hate to say this but...
What the hell is your issue?
I mean, sure: I rant. I admit it, I do. I'm also argumentative, moderately arrogant, and (according to many others) quite hard to be around.
But that's not a reason for you to be so bloody sarcastic about it, nor is it a reason to call me out about it in such a unproductive way. You've done this twice now marie, and it's actually beginning to piss me off. I'm sorry if I cause a issue for you or others with my rants, but this post has been around for at least half a month now. No one has posted for more than two weeks. If you wanted to bring up a issue like this, do it in a way that is constructive. I'm always looking for ways to better myself, but if you're just going to call be out, sarcastically claim you're shocked, and say literally nothing else on the matter, it's not worth posting.
I'm sorry if this rant is a overreaction. I'm sorry if I'm a little tetchy because you've commented in the way you have and caused what the British would refer to so aptly as a "fuss". But if you're going to comment on a habit that I'm desperately trying to correct, then do so in a productive manner.
Apologies to any other forum user who had to read through this.

I get that perfectly. I'd prefer not to continue this particular line of discussion, so let's instead discuss something else:
Who thinks that David Tennant's doctor character is very reminiscent of Dr. Rush from Stargate Universe? Well, that's Rush when he's not being a asshat and shouting at everyone. Maybe it's just the accent that's giving me that impression.

Let me explain a little about how this 'needs' to work. You rant. People are going to give you shit about it. In part, because if they don't give you shit about it, they're going to genuinely get mad about it. If they get mad about it, they're going to stop participating in the community because they're tired of getting mad at you.
If you make progress, stop using the community as a sounding board for your aggression or disenfranchisement; people will STILL give you shit when you border on ranting. But they will notice. And after awhile, it will become more teasing and less frustrated pokes. When you can take that teasing and joke about it yourself? Then we can all sigh a breath of relief and go about having normal conversations again. But the fact that you responded to getting called out for ranting by RANTING... I've got to tell you, Mihn...this is beyond just casual complaints. And I'm saying this with moderator hat on... deal with it. If someone gives you shit about ranting, think twice about what you say in return. And then delete it and reconsider before writing the third attempt. Get a handle on your choice of how you present yourself here or that choice may be taken away from you. I've only banned ONE person in the five or so years I've been admin'ing for the WU... don't put so much effort into being number two.

Maybe a little, but Weller is a bit more clinical in how he deals with people. He's well meaning, but if he knows your psychological profile he will manipulate you.CrazyMinh wrote:

rather than derail a topic, and send it into another, unrelated topic... it would just be better to let it die, and if you want to discuss the new topic, make a new topic about that topic.
also... topic.
