  • Peter Mayhew, who brought us Chewbacca has passed beyond the veil... Farewell, you taught a generation to see a different way.

  •

I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it.

  • Did the later episodes of the Star Wars Franchise kill the love we had for the original three episodes?
I know a lot of people thought that Jar Jar Binks was not the best character.

  • General consensus is that the only version of Jar Jar Binks that's likeable is the one in Darths & Droids

Don't call me "Shirley." You will surely make me surly.

  • I'm sure the newer stuff Ruined Everything for some people, but not for me. Good things are still good even if bad things are bad. And honestly, things aren't that bad. Despite the stupidity that has gone on in some of the movies, they've all managed to entertain me.

Remember, the word "fan" is derived from "fanatic" (a person filled with excessive and single-minded zeal, especially for an extreme religious or political cause.) ... and in few places is that more obvious than when you collect the fans of Star Wars or Star Trek... or worse... both in the same location. Sports fans might tear down the city if their team loses. Some do it even when they win. But comic book and sci-fi/fantasy movie fans? If they have a 'home town' to burn down... it would be the internet. :P
