  • You may remember, back in the dim and distant past, I was daft enough to maintain a spreadsheet of stories and wordcounts...

    It's Back!

Currently, we've got just over 9 million canonical words across 225 stories comprising 413 episodes, writen by 49 combinations of authors, 32 unique authors and 24 unique primary authors.

Diane still tops the list of installments / episodes (76), with Bek coming in second (54) and Elrod third (closely followed by EE).
Diane, Bek and Elrod also occupy the top three spots in terms of word count - although Elrod needs to write about twice as much as he already has to catch up with Bek!

The longest stories are Ayla 8, Whisper and Ayla 9.

Have a browse and see what else you can decipher from the sheet (or if I've fouled up any of the formulae)...

  • Wow. Wasn't it around 7.5-8 million last time you updated us?

  • what I note, is we're on track to _beat_ 2015's total, already...

    (4.6 stories per month, 103 k words a month (think about this: THAT's a _book a month_...) for 2015: Currenlty for 2016:
    5.4/105 k words)

  • Well, we DO traditionally slow down on story creation a bit in the summer months... though I'm not sure that's going to happen this year given that Gen 2 is starting to ramp up... and if E.E. gets his medical situation resolved, there's a small possibility that he and elrod may do a scary synergy explosion thing again. scary good, not scary bad.

    we'll see. :)

  • And if we could tempt Diane and/or JG back to the fold... :D

...well, first of all, they'd have a lot of catching up to do as a lot's happened in their absence, both in-universe (e.g. new occupants in Second Floor Poe) and outside (e.g. the Second Generation Canon Authors)...

  • I'll be doing my part. I'm at around 100k words for the year already, just on WU. That's pretty good for me, especially with all the other crap I'm doing.

  • Can we get stats for fanfics / forums? ... Just wondering, 'cause it seems like even more work than Canon Story-ness.

    No problem...

...if you can find someone daft enough to do it :D

Clone my sheet, create a bookmarklet with this code (for the Word Count), share the Google Sheet with everyone else and remember to update it occasionally...
