Question fanfic thread mentioned in the front page articles

The section is private because its primarily a location for the non-canon authors to discuss points of story crafting that would be spoilers if read outside the context of use. As long as they don't abuse the privelege, the IF authors are allowed to ask for clarification on points of canon detail (character psychology, how a power works, even specific plot points within reason) and get answers as long as it won't result in a spoiler of canon stories down the line for that detail to be used in a non-canon story in the meantime. So, for example, we might not reveal how we intend to re-introduce Sara... but if asked what sorts of things could result in her getting loose again, we might provide a list. As long as there is justification for it (someone is telling an alternate path story that involves Sara spending the Summer of 2007 on a rampage across the US instead of trapped still).

I opened the discussion in this private thread because I wanted opinions from those people who are directly impacted by the changes I was proposing... I'm sure the rest of the community would have opinions and ideas on how its 'supposed' to be done too... but it's mainly the authors' experience with using the site that I'm trying to correct/enhance. Seems wise to hear their thoughts without the distraction of everyone else's voices in making those decisions.
