Not sure if this was the right place for it, but I was asked to create a discussion thread for Xanadu and this seemed like the place as far as i could tell, so here you go.

Discussion topics for released WhatIF like

would go under

, but one of the moderators can handle that.

Ah, had already read this one, if this is the Whateley 'Verse then Ms Hartford will not be pleased to see them arrive at Whateley when they get there if she is still there! Nightmares about Able Palm will abound! Neither will Cyber Kitty be happy to have them in her playground. Of course the gadgeteers, and devisors will be more than pleased to work on lightening the load on that android body. They will be happy to work on power packs and the like as well!
EDIT: My bad! I just reread this, it is Whateley 'verse. Not dated, so we don't know if Ms Hartford is there or not, but she is going to be less than pleased to have Xanadu land on her doorstep if she is there! Xer is an interesting conundrum isn't xe?

Ms. Hartford is totally there and she's going to be exactly as excited as you would expect to meet Xanadu.

Insanity: for when normal just isn't interesting enough.

Having experience in a field being portrayed can often make things frustrating when it's not portrayed in the way you expect. That's more my fault for instinctively nit-picking than yours. Your objective was to tell a story and set up a character, and I enjoyed it in spite of knee-jerk reactions. In case you were wondering, LISP was often said to be the most likely language for writing an AI due to how easy it is to self-modify.
I will say that I find it funny how I consider a baseline creating an AGI to be less believable than meeting an angel incarnate. Such is the way at Whateley.
I'm excited by how they'll be treated by the mutants at Whateley when they get there. If the time-line has any overlap with Gen 1, then I very much want a duel between Xan and Whisper. Even if we don't get sick Robot-on-Cyborg action, I would be interested in them meeting Whisper, along with Paige and Hive.
With Paige specifically, they seem like opposites in a few ways. Namely Mai is an AI that was subsumed by Merry's brain, while Xan was subsumed by the AI, MIRA, that they created. Given Paige's cyberpathic abilities, it's not out of the question that she would be able to project both herself and Mai into Xan's head.
I mentioned KOS-MOS in my comment. She's originally a major character from Xenosaga and later made a cameo in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 . Aside from KOS-MOS, every entry in the Xeno series (possible exception of Xenoblade Chronicles X) has featured at least 1 Robot Girl.
I look forward to the next installment.

Great Start to what I believe will be an interesting and unusual story
For me from a readers point of view, I have no problem at all as to whether your story relates to what is “possible” or “acceptable” compared to real life. After all this is fantasy fiction, the only limit being your imagination and whether your writing convinces “ordinary readers” to believe in your story
