  • I suck at code-names. I'm trying to think of one for my Peter Pan, but I'm stumped. He's a Court of the North "mutant" like Nikki is a Court of the Wast mutant. meaning he's not a mutant. Hes categorized as a high level Wiz, telekinetic and a Psi [maybe, still in the air on that]. maybe a Psi vamp that feeds on happy thoughts?

But we need one that translates and shows up here... Besides other than searching for that one I don't know how to create the characters in it...

  • Weathersky. There is an old Scandinavian folk tale, a variant of the 'I'll give my kid to you to apprentice, but I won't pay you for it on this convoluted bet' variety. The magical entity involved is called Farmer Weathersky

  • For my Sidhe, since she's the re-incarnation of the Queen of the Verdant Lands, I opted to make her past-self the basis for the concept of the goddess Ériu. So of course Essylt operates under the code-name Eire. If you have an idea of where they are from, you could look for someone from local mythology or religion to provide a name.

  • They're code names. Unless the kid plans on going into the biz, they don't have to be apt or inspiring or permanent or singular. For a code name with personal meaning, you do need to have compiled enough background on the character that you can picture what they'd come up with.

Vapaat Taivas (literally "Free Sky") might feel clunky or corny, but it symbolizes everything to a kid who'd been trapped in a body that was losing its already-limited mobility. Her spirit agrees.

Damiana: If you're a neopagan who hasn't learned that names ending in -a aren't inherently feminine, but, like, it's a flower, and a friend of a friend said you can get high from smoking the dried leaves because it's, like, a sacred herb to some Indians out west?

As the code-names aren't permanent, they could be used as part of the character development showing how a character is growing and changing as they mature.

But as far as the codename on the MID is concerned, look up "Power Pork"...

  • I'm thinking Dream Eater, just maybe in like Norse or Welsh. I figure this isn't the first time he's entered the world, just the first time he'd been close to X power level. I say X cause I'm still working on him. Was inspired by the Once Upon a Time bad boy Pan.

  • I might.
I see him, in all incarnations, as being a bit of a wanderer, so maybe he is a Baku.

Hmmm... depends on what her shell looks like. Because "primo" means "the first" in Italian... in masculine mode. Feminine would be "Prima" -- like "prima donna", "prima ballerina" and such.

By the way "prima donna" means literally "first woman" or "first lady." Which means that the wife of the Italian president is perfectly justified in being overdemanding and having a difficult personality -- it's in her job description.

Don't call me "Shirley." You will surely make me surly.
