  • Would it be wiser to just make a person think their nose is growing for every lie (or the bf's penis looses something for every person cheated with) or making the nose actually grow (or the penis shrink?)

  • Well, to make a single person *believe* it's happening is probably much easier than actually doing it, and gives almost as much satisfaction with less chance of it going horribly wrong (or even horribly right). Less effort, lesser Essence requirement, less unpredictable consequences, easier to undo if necessary, almost the same results? Sound wiser to me.

Don't call me "Shirley." You will surely make me surly.

  • But isn't the point of this kind o spell to make it obvious to others hat the target is a liar?

  • Well, if that's the goal just make it an illusory nose extension. Sure, people could try to touch it and realize it's not real, but that doesn't impact it's utility as a lie detector.

  • IMHO the illusory nose might well be far more effective than any other...

Especially if the recipient can't see it, only the people who hear what they are saying.

Internal dialogue: "How do they know i'm lying?"
