After a whole lot of discussion in our fan fiction forums, we have some good ideas and some goals to set/work on. The first couple votes for the fan fiction authors are up and will run through this week. As the numbers start to add up, if it looks clear votes are going to pass; I'll add a few more and start to add some complexity into the set up of what we're doing. By next Monday, I hope to be able to share the news and plans with the community at large.

In the meantime, we have one final section of "I Don't Think We're in Kansas Anymore" to share with everyone. This is the last part of the three introduction stories (Calimari, Road To Whateley, and Kansas) of the First Year core story cycle. From here out, we move into stories that are less likely to bounce from perspective to perspective and focus on just one character (or a small group). The next story in the Core cycle will be "Good Cop/Bad Cop" which I am writing (and will be from Shieldwall's perspective). Gen 2 authors will continue to offer other side (and back) story options, as we move forward.

Are we to understand that "The Road to Whateley" is completed? That seems to be what you are suggesting when you refer to this week's posting as "the last part" of the 2nd Gen introductory stories. I can see the guys (and the little dragon) just appearing at the school with maybe a short description of the last leg of their journey within the next tale in which they are characters.

By the way, a lot of people are really looking forward to your Shieldwall story, Those who have been visiting the new Crystal Hall and it's predecessor for very many months will remember the great stuff you have given us, by which I mean not just Whateley material but also some really enjoyable contributions to the non-Whateley section of The Crystal Hall. Can't wait! It is awesome how much you have done for the Whateley fans both as an author and as the leader of this site.

Thank you very much K.D. and keep up the good work! :-)

No, unfortunately... there IS more to RtW... but until E.E. is back and healthy, we don't have any real certainty when it will be resumed. We just have to move forward and hope that the missing bits of AJ and Nick's trip to WA doesn't cause any confusion...

Hated to hear that Mr. Nally is unwell. The delay of the RtW chapter is trivial by comparison. Best wishes for his speedy and complete recovery and he should know that as much as his submissions are missed no one expects or wants him to work while he is struggling with health issues.
We love you, E. E. ! Take care of yourself and just know that we love you. :-)
