Hmm... More in depth you say? Your chapters tend to be short (but short is better than none!) and packed with either action or character development. Interesting in a way to see Lucy make herself psychically invisible. I don't recall seeing her do exactly that before. Still sort of wondering what the deal is with Stephanie, why she's having a nose bleed. What her problem is and why she has it in for the misfits so badly. Okay they didn't fall down and worship her, nor did they move out of her way. They ignored her and essentially patted her cheek and said, 'My, you must need to be fed and changed. How'd you escape your keeper...?'

No, that was Nacht sitting there. Maybe she heard, maybe she didn't. and no, he can't go back in, as he is now bigger than she is. As for Motherload, you need your skin to be able to breathe, but here she is having to wear this skin-tight suit for hours on end. your skin gets irritated and sweaty and clammy, and you can't take off the suit. I did find the "a complexion that could be best described as pale and creamy." intriguing, but yeah... *facepalm*

Trish grinned. “Yeah, it was bad. I grew up in a poor section of Cleveland. Mom had left soon after I was born, but Dad loved me and worked his hardest to give me everything I needed.

I thought that Trish got her code name from a younger sibling?

A bit of the old mood whiplash on that segue.

Dad took me to see a dermatologist, but they couldn’t find a cause. they thought it might be dietary, so they put me on a special diet. That didn’t seem to do anything for my skin problem.

Initial cap. Tyrosine deficiency is said to be rare. Interestingly, there is a go-see-your-doctor-now illness that has hyperpigmentation as a symptom.

Next to her was a girl that was somewhat overweight, packed into booty shorts, and a top that didn’t just give her a muffin-top, no it gave her the whole bakery. She had long braids, obviously extensions, her nails were at least 3 inches, and hot pink.

Girl's got some acceptance issues.

Both present:
I've read that some people have alters that can be co-conscious (i.e., Stephanie being aware of what is happening to Stefan when she isn't driving), but those folks may have had a lot of therapy by that point. Maybe one of the Psychic Arts staff or upperclassmen can help. If there are memories, skills, powers that neither Stefan or Stephanie can access, that could mean there's . . .

A third on board:
On the one hand, for story reasons it could be funny. On the other, the longer Stephanie has been around, the younger Stefan was when he was traumatized to the point of developing dissociative identity disorder . It would make for a nasty twist: the one who isn't driving stays busy keeping a third alter or some hallow-dwelling entity from taking over and getting them both killed, or worse.

Trish gulped. “I don’t have my MID yet, I think I’m going to choose Backslide as my codename, because I’m a warper, I can push everything in a 50 yard radius away from me.”

Lucy looked up. “That sounds cool. oh, lunch is nearly over. I should get ready for class.”

Trish looked at her watch. “Yeah, I should get back to the testing, it was nice to meet you!”

Lucy watched as Trish got up and turned away. her new friend walked away, with a slight wiggle that in the tight outfit she was wearing clearly showed off a behind that would put to shame J-Lo and any number of Kardashian sisters.

“Hm… Maybe she should rethink using ‘backslide’… “, Lucy pondered.

Steph isn't the original, but she seemingly has her license, while Stefan is the original... but has a learner's permit. So he doesn't get to drive without supervision.

Here's where where we get into the mystery of the "siblings"... We know that Stefan has/had a sister...

aaaand back to Trish, It's hard on her, growing up black, in a black-majority neighborhood, and turning caucasian. To a large degree, she's trained herself to "fit in" with the white crowd. If she maintained 'hood mannerisms and speech patterns, she'd probably get labeled a wigger , and get beat up or raped.

yeas, and I was expanding on your comment with a metaphor. Stefen may be in the driver's seat, but he has someone else riding shotgun, who can drive on their own.

IIRC, the authors have said they'd be willing to answer some questions about planned events, either directly through PM or posted for discussion in Order of the Worn Wrench.

For some things, as long as the story doesn't develop the canon characters or whatever happens in canon would be off-screen for the story, you could be okay anyway with only minor tweaking or lampshade hanging needed.

And then there's whatever happens between 1600 04 APR 08 and 0700 14 APR 08, which is a MAJOR plot point, loaded with fudge, tons of tear-salted whipped cream, sprinkled with WTF-brand jimmies, and a hefty slice of GOO thingy plopped on top. At the minimum, I'd expect a massive mindscrew-slash-retcon once the Tao reweaves the burnt section of the Tapestry to match the final outcome.

For the Misfits, you'd have to ask yourself what information Nimbus would have on them, and decide his initial response. Given their powers, would he want Host or Motherlode anywhere near his working? Would it shut the Necromancer up if he offered to let a Sidhe mage like Eire survive while he uses Fey? Did someone just happen to win an all-expenses-paid vacation for Host and her friends to Disneyland France? (Whateley students visiting France has worked out so well lately!)

This is a very mysterious episode. And very ominous, as mysteries in this universe, involving mad scientists and large prisons usually are...

Chances that this LeAnna is referring to a different LeAnna from Call Of The Waters, is unlikely.

Betting this is a Mutant Cloning Facility of some kind... Focused on Whateley...

So, now there's a Clone!LeAnna based off her pre-mutation self, running around in the Andes Mountains??
