  • A new Ribbon story. Numphar! Do the Dance of Joy!

And she got to tie up Bloodwolf on her first day. He must be well on the way to developing a phobia of little girls. Now Jade is going to want her on Wondercute even more.

  • GR8 story so far. Thanks
I don't recognize roulette from any other story, can someone point me to it? Thanks.
I'm not sure Ribbon will test out of academic subjects. She may for some, but she never graduated high school as Big Al, and he was definitely NOT of a academic nature. I did kind go expect her to try and take auto shop; and she should probably try to get mechanic as her student job, similar to Harry Wolf. While ribbon isn't a gagetteer, she was over three decades of experience as an auto mechanic.
Cann't wait to see more. Thanks Morpheus.

  • Left a comment in the actual story, I wonder how long until Ayla snaps Amy up.a cook of her level IN Poe?

In the end reality is only consensual! It means that Al Gore is causing "Global Warming" by his rhetoric alone! Fortunately, there are enough Global Warming "Deniers" still about to keep him from boiling the planet.

  • Taking a note from Dreamer's book and recording my reactions as I go.

Huh. I went back to check the dates in Round and Round, and apparently Sphere is a time-traveler. Round and Round takes place from Sept 14-18th, 2007, and now it's August.

Wait… Witchling? There weren't any mages in Round and Round...

Whoops. Apparently I can't read tags. I'm not going to bother figuring out when Roulette's story was, because I'm sure it took place earlier in the summer.

I suspect that Roulette and Sphere are going to be cooking buddies together. Ayla is going to be so pleased.

Hm… I wonder who holds the record at Whateley for “Most Power Testing”
Does Whateley do superlatives? You know: Most Likely to Succeed, Most Attractive Eyes, Most Likely to Become a Supervillain…

Amy. Her name is Amy. (I'd forgotten)

    A couple. Heh.

    Codename puns!

Angel! We haven't seen nearly enough of her recently.

Jinx, if Roulette was a probability warper, they would not be putting you in the same wing.

Huh. I had Iron Rose pegged as a manifester. She can hang out with Eldritch, and they'll be weird metal girls together!

I really hope that power nullifiers don't make her manifested clothing vanish, or dollars to donuts she'll be meeting one in a week. And then kicking him in the nuts repeatedly.

You live on a campus full of devisors and gadgeteers, including a car club. Modifying a car so that you can reach the pedals will be easy.

Huh. Can Alyss make towels? They seem like they'd be tricker than your average cloth.

What happens when someone tries to steal the ball?

That's a new reaction towards Danny.

Aww… I was hoping for a bully smackdown from Ribbon. I guess that will come later. Maybe they can avoid the first day security trip?

Right, Martina is Knockoff. Figures that she would twig on the supervillain mentioned in Ribbon's backstory.

Wait, I want to know what her job's going to be!

    Bloodwolf?

Oh, the bully busters are going to love Ribbon so much.

No, she didn't. She implied that she was about your age. Admittedly, “a couple” almost never means 40, but still.

Okay, Voodude is a great codename. I hope that he uses real Voodoo, not the Hollywood junk.

Ah, yes. Supers and vegans. The other thing about freshies is that they haven't learned to tune out the general weirdness yet, so you get bigger crowds for this sort of thing.

Uh-oh. Methinks that Amy's power testing schedule just got bumped up to the front of the queue.

  • "A Little R&R", eh? Yeah, I see what you did there. ;)

Regarding the bit about reaching the pedals, it reminds me of some stories my dad has about driving a dump truck at the age of ten, just barely able to see the road over the dashboard as he stretched to reach the pedals. You can get away with all sorts of fun and/or terrifying things when you live far enough out in the country.

  • I wonder what Alyss' official parentage is, because Poe is starting to get crowded with Bad Seeds (sort of).

Knockoff is a sort of a Bad Seed, her mom bounces back and forth between Blackhat and Whitehat work.
Ribbon is, depending upon her official parentage, the daughter or niece of a Supervillain.
Sphere will be(?) possibly the younger "sister" of a Supervillain, or at least the ward of her.

Hmmm, Amy going into burnout, with Alyss, Hardwyrd and a bunch of Freshman around. Probably some Security around too. I wonder if anyone nearby will recognize what is happening and know what to do. (It is possible that Alyss has read about it.)

It wasn't Rachel's intention to have her cancer cure put her father into burnout, but she didn't know he was a latent mutant either.

  • First: Huzzah! Always great to see another Morpheus story show up. Even better when it firmly establishes a couple of the more interesting ff characters firmly into canon.

Second: Nice touch, with both pairs of initials.

Finally: a little confusion. Near the end, when Roulette is in the Common Room and gets Voodude and Hardwyrd to head out to lunch with her, it says:

Just as the four of us were leaving, Toni, the hyperactive sophomore girl came running into the dayroom, slipping past us as though we were no problem, even though we were blocking almost the entire doorway. “I heard about Bloodwolf,” she told Jade with a broad grin. “Good one…

  • I love that everyone immediately thinks that Bloodwolf was Jade's doing, considering reputation, this COULD last until Alyss has her first BMA class, Angel's efforts to keep her from Wondercute will be futile then, she will fill out the team quite well as a brick

  • I think I see why they paired Ribbon and Roulette, depending on the load Roulette's floating devises can handle, one of them would be very useful for Ribbon to set up pulleys, Ribbon gets to look after Roulette putting those would be wasted parental instincts to use, not to mention the holdouts Roulette can make in devisor and wiz mode. Alyss's antics may brighten up Amy's otherwise grim existence, and she can provide Amy with support that few can, knowing what its like waking up every morning knowing that it could be for the last time

    But consider this:
You're a bully, or UV at Whateley. You could admit that you were ambushed by the single most insane member of the most fearsome training team, known for defeating their opponents so consistently (excepting two incidents, one recent and not public), or you can admit that you were singlehandedly defeated by a girl who looks two years younger than that, and one year younger than any given member of the Three Little Witches.

Alyss likely never has to reveal her manifestation powers in BMA. She's an exemplar SIX. She can just grab their fists and squeeze a bit, until they admit defeat, or simply toss them out of the circle. No reason to use ribbons. Her actual life-or-death combat experience is pretty good with regards to that particular skill.

She can save the ribbon use for Exemplar Grace.

Couple problems with that plan, 1st being she wants to minimize injuries, but 2nd and more the important problem, Do you REALLY think Ito and Tolman would let her get away with just her exemplar strength? Besides you know how she is going to get a gi, don't you? Also "Ribbon" isn't a codename someone would take if they were just an exemplar.

True, however even if she doesn't flat out say she can control the ribbons and tries to hide it, some observant fellow is going to piece together that she can when her ribbons move in ways that shouldn't be possible, besides Alyss practically EMBRACES the creepy factor she naturally possesses, or at least she doesn't care to tone it down at all, at Whateley the little girl with a skull hairclip is more intimidating and believable than "a group of large men tying people up in pink ribbons"

  • I don't think she cares that much about keeping her ribbons "secret" -- she may be amused at everybody assuming that Wondercute did it, and she may amuse herself a bit feeding the rumors, but she sure wasn't worrying about it when she gift-wrapped Bloodwolf in pink ribbons.

And, of course, the fact that her ribbons dissolve in a day or so, like Spider-Man's webs, is sort of her "trademark." Someone will eventually figure out that those ribbons keep disappearing.

BUT -- and here's a subtle difference -- using her ribbons to tie up foes, or even to twirl her ultra-heavy bracelets, does *not* give away that she can animate them. And she may choose to focus on conventional martial arts technique in the BMA class, instead of relying on her power. So, it may take a while before it gets around that she can use ribbons in more than a passive way.

Don't call me "Shirley." You will surely make me surly.

Yes and no, the keen eyed exemplar will notice, without the weights, she can throw her ribbons with impossible accuracy, it's subtle but someone like Phase will notice and catch on.

  • Some one needs to show Ribbon, Ranma 1/2's Kodachi Kuno, and the tricks she can play with a ribbon. ^_^

I really enjoyed this story, though I had to go back and re-read Steel Ribbon, and ended up getting very little sleep last night.

I'm really hoping the "Baby Havok" tag follows her to school. It's too good to drop. At least one of the people in the bar where it got coined has to be a former student, maybe has a kid going there now.

Maybe one of the more intelligent Bad Seeds could let her know the group is there if she feels the need for a support group of peers.

Don't get me wrong. I like Roulette, but Alyss is just so cool a character. I really want to see much more of her interacting with others.

  • You do realize that Ribbon is likely to be focusing on two things in BMA. She has all those years as Big Al where she was a brawler, which means that if she were to actually get into a physical fight with most of the bully's she is going to have an easy time, as none of them are learning how to fight.

1st she wants to learn how to actually fight in an efficient trained manner.
2nd, and more importantly, she wants to learn how NOT to hurt people.

She bench pressed 7 tons, that puts her up near the top of Whateley's students in strength. Lancer could only lift 5 tons when he arrived.

In my opinion, Envy's mom is the best in her own weird way (By the way, how high is Strigga ranked up ? She must be at least a Grade A supervillain). And knockoff's mother isn't that far behind.

Roulette and Ribbon's origin stories were the two first canon stories that I have read (without really knowing it). Thank you Morpheus for this amazing sequel.

  • My immediate takeaway is this: Ribbon knows how to embroider.

Between getting back at Starbrite, costuming classes, and playing with the Thornie pre-teens, people are going to figure out that Ribbon is skilled at making clothes out of nothing, but the true horror follows from the fact that she can make small ribbons spell out her name. Sooner or later, word is going to get to Venus Inc., especially if Lanie realized what Alyss did in the garage with her clothes. Or worse....Wondercute.

Ribbon ought to start having someone draft a standard contract. Something like, "Pre-teens and TLW, complimentary upon request. Wondercute, flat rate or subscription. Venus Inc., portion of the royalties."

I'm glad that Roulette is making the best of her situation, and making friends with the Thornies and having them spend time with the Poesies. Social isolation is the rough part of being in the two "special" cottages.

I was also pleasantly surprised that Alyss' "mature weirdness" is allowing her to connect with some of the more vicious(?) rougher girls of Poe like Iron Rose and Hippy (who really needs some friends right now without Sara).

  • Looking at what Ribbon did to Starbright, I wonder if we'll see her doing something similar to Jericho. Call it a seamless blue fully closed jumpsuit with straightjacket style sleeves.
Depending on how revolting Jericho's clothing is at the time she might even get some applause. On the other hand, Whateley might suffer an outbreak of trussed bullies wrapped in fabric that looks like Jericho colored it.

Compared to the pinup girls of Alyss' youth, she might be a bit on the slender side by way of comparison. Also, there is a bit of height difference between the two.

Ehhhh, that reminds me of a much, much raunchier story and the dangers of stealing bananas.

One quote from the story which puts a lot of the students' powers in perspective:

Amy lit up at that, which made me smile, even as I felt a little sad too. I remember when Rachael was younger, she used to get excited whenever anyone showed interest in her inventions, and I was beginning to suspect that this was something a lot of devisors probably shared.

  • Anyone taking bets on now long it will be before Ayla connects Alyss to Big Al? On the one hand he's shown no hesitation before investigating fellow students before, and Alyss has clearly caught his interest. On the other hand, his primary research source is Trin and Macintyre, who might be reluctant to divulge information about one of their employees' family. That said, he can probably find enough public info to make the connection without them, or using a different source. The fact that Alyss is older than she looks and a changeling is public knowledge in Poe, as is her connection with Lady Havoc. Big Al dies, little Alyss appears...

The Goodkind and the former H1er could have some very interesting conversations.

Sounds like you're confusing her with Chulkris.

Thanks, you are right. I got Amanda Chulkris aka Earth Mother and Dr. Tenent mixed up for some reason. Don't know why.

  • Really enjoying the R&R stories, about the characters more than the plot, but this chapter was way overshadowed by the tag at the end. ^-^;;

  • I wonder if we are going to see more of the Succubus chic Adore. Finally a replacement for Sara since she's lost. Can't have a campus without at least 1 lust demon. :woohoo:

  • Roulette and Ribbon are an interesting duo, and it seems this team-up is not a one time only given the next title you have teased at the end.

    Thanks morpheus.

  • One was skinny, with white hair that was similar in color to Alyss’, though her bangs kind of curled up like a pair of little horns. The other girl had black hair and a dour expression. She seemed vaguely familiar, and it took me a minute to realize that she reminded me of Wednesday Addams, from the Addams family. The two girls talked with each other and didn’t pay us any attention.

Then, after they got their food and went off to the tables, Aegis suddenly pushed forward and demanded, “Do you know who those girls were?”

As I was reading this: "Who is Aegis...Oh...a moron."
Then he and Martina's ex-roommate get all chummy and I want to retch. At least Mega-Girl and some of the others have some common sense. I wonder if those two will absolutely lose their shit if Winter tries to apply again.

I think the highlight for me is the Ribbon throwing her dress in the garbage before Martial Arts, to the horror of the other girls. Stain from lunch? Toss it in the trash. Pen mark from class? Toss it in the trash. Get caught in a rainstorm on the way to class? Toss it in the trash.

Though, I wonder if Alyss is going to talk to Tolman about her concerns with hurting other students. Alyss was particularly scared of hurting her grand-daughters on accident, and at least some of the students will end up reminding her of Kaylie. Tolman was warning her about holding back being a problem, but if that's the case, shouldn't that get straightened out in the brick supplemental class?

Is that Tolman doesn't want her developing bad habits when using proper forms?

Ribbon can't keep answering questions with, "I know this person," or "They're family," or "I'm related to so and so..." every time her family comes up. People are going to get more and more suspicious, though Christina helped accidentally continue the rumor that Ribbon is Baby Havoc. It would end up explaining a lot of the cageyness she has when talking about her relatives.

Awww, she just looks like a succubus, poor girl has GSD and is being encouraged by Imp to embrace it. I know you are probably joking, but still, I wouldn't want to be called a demon of any sort just because I look like one.

I think you have the 2 girls mixed up. Your thinking of Darqhart. This is the girl i was talking about.

Just as we stepped back out into the hallway, I saw another girl walking past. She was gorgeous, with the kind of perfect build that any stripper or porn star would envy, though she also had a large pair of horns that wrapped around her head to point behind her, a black devil tail, and a pair of large leathery wings.

“Now SHE is jailbait,” I muttered under my breath.

“Um ... hi Adore,” Amy greeted the girl, with a bright blush on her cheeks.

The girl ... Adore nodded back to Amy and continued on her way. I watched Amy, a little confused by her reaction. However, Amy quickly shook it off. A few seconds later, she knocked on the next door over, and Sapphire emerged.

Looks like she has some kind of lust/sexual based aura.

  • I wonder how Imp will react if she meets Adore. (now I have to jump over to the Imp thread with a list of fun people for Imp to meet)

Well the Hero wanabees have found out the "relationship" between Ribbon and Lady Havoc, I wonder if the Bad Seeds have better info, or if they will "rush" Ribbon. Most of the Seeds would probably look at her as a kid sister. Dragonrider, Thrash, and Winter especially. The others to lesser extent, but would probably keep an eye out to help her. At least until they realize that she doesn't need a lot of looking after.

It's good to see that both the Posies and 'Thornies are watching out for Roulette. So how long before we see Team Kimba pulling Detention at Hawthorne, or at least playing Scrabble with Diz. (This is the way to keep TK in the stories, by casual mentions of Ribbon or Roulette seeing them visiting their friends in Hawthorne.)

So how long before Roulette, Ribbon, and Sapphire start playing "Hangman."

One last thing, since Ribbon made CC a dress in the middle of the day, what are the odds it disappeared while she was wearing it, out in public?

  • Given the title of the next story teased at the end, she will get a close encounter of the Wondercute kind and Dragonrider is both in Wondercute and the Badseeds so I assume we will know soon enough if they have heard of her already or not.

Aegis should be glad to be a Gen1 Character. It would have been even more awkward under the new headmaster's regime.

  • I'm half expecting that not only has Ayla worked out that Alyss was big Al, and that Jadis will very soon, that one or both of them are going to sit down with Alyss and explain why pretending to be baby Havok is probably better for her in the long run.

Hell, I could see Pinnacle doing it and claiming to be her father as well.

You know I so want the cape squad to be told about the 3 types of villains
The kind that choose to be villains
The kind life decides are villains
And the kind that are so self righteous that they decide for life and their victims that other people are villains.

Unfortunately because many of them are the 3rd kind in the making, this will fly over their self righteous heads.

    Prince(ss) Jobe
I am sure there are others including most bad seeds.

    not students
    Silver Ghost
and I forget her name but the Rager girl from one of the MCO stories that was horridly mistreated, and I think killed.

True its mostly the Secret Squirrels, Goobers and a a few members of the Alphas that are the 3rd kind, though for the Alphas like that, its more because they see certain people as easy pickings not because they think people deserve it, and this is mainly before a certain change in leadership. however many newer members of the Cape Squad and 90% of applicants are very much the kind that decide other people are villains for them.

Diedricks is the SEXY one to concentrate on since it has the most chance of injuries and death for the sufferer and those around them. Other mental illnesses related to the powered-set will eventually get more attention as that one is brought more under control.

Another way of looking at it... if you were a Batman-type... would you want to donate funding to get the core disease of many your enemies taken care of so more of them stop being made or would you throw money at something that might make you less likely to want to save people.

  • Solving Diedricks would actually prevent many otherwise neutrally inclined Devisors and Energizers from ending up villains in the first place though.

I'm building a smart cooling system that uses a dimensional boundary as a heat sink and air motivation is being handled by gravitational spin. It's 20% more efficient in heat transfer than the next best commercial model and its energy cost for operation is lower than a traditional ceiling fan while serving industrial level volumes of space. *diedricks episode starts, next thing you know, the tech is the basis for a Freeze ray and ten people are in ice cubes suffocating to death*

I hope Roulette never mentions the dehydration gun to her.

It seems Boom Job's Diedricks episodes tend to be reactive in nature... so as long as nobody splashes her I think we're okay...

That would make you wonder what triggered the episode that came up with the Singularity Bomb.

  • Two minor points:
    1. Why is Elrod asking JG to do the "Pinnacle announces he's Alyss' father to mess up with bigoted assholes?" They are all Morpheus' characters. Or... maybe Morpheus transferred Pinacle to JG?

    2. Ha. You are wondering how badly will Aegis react ifwhen Winter re-applies to the FSA? That's nothing -- the FSA don't really want her (probably a display of good sense, Winter wants to be an hero for all the wrong reasons), and only allow her to apply in order to not look like assholes. But... look at Aegis' head blowing up if the new FSA board follows Glorianna's recommendation and actively rushes She-Beast...

    1) Hmmm... those 3 HAVE been colluding lately...

    2) I like where your head's at... not necessarily about Winter... I'm all for letting her get her foot in the door with the FSA ;) ... but with She-Beast. • 1. Maybe JG is the lead writer of the Family Day 2007 story? There are already hints that Sandra and Monica's mother will be tricked into accepting that they've become mutants. My guess is that the Family Day story is largely from the Outcast Corner perspective. Pinnacle showing up (maybe even escorting Rachel on a single day out of prison) along with Ribbon's family would allow the gag to reach its peak. It's not like that family has to use planes if they don't need to, so the MCO can't be upset about a supervillain using air travel. They'd never even know.

    2. Ah! I forgot about Jadis. But don't forget that Glorianna's recommendation didn't have particularly good intentions either. The joke was to keep Jadis away from the other side by making her a hero, but then Glorianna got back to school, wrote her report, and realized that she should actually be serious about it. I don't remember where the follow-up scene was, but her suggestion did not go over well with the FSA. Something would have to happen with Jadis again for someone else to get the idea that Glorianna was correct after all.

Outcast corner, freshmen and characters that weren't a part of or weren't around for the 2006 Parents' Day, With some old standbys to show they are there, Its likely that outside of Ayla and her guardians visiting Puppet, Ayla will take the opportunity to form potential buisness connections, like getting to meet Shine's mother and step father, to see if they are interested in any potential french business opportunities and potentially arranging a business meeting before the relevant parties have to return home, but most of the point of Parents' Day is so that all the students can cut loose and we can see how the uninitiated family members react, as well as the alumni reminiscing, though I wouldn't be surprised if it also serves as a pretext for parties that normally couldn't be seen acting civil together due to the hats they wear, to work out agreements where they come to as close to a zero sum gain as possible, after all there are bound to be times where neither party gains anything in a feud, in those situations, diplomacy is best for both parties even though society will under normal circumstances forbid it, Whateley is neutral ground, it is the perfect place for such meetings to take place, and for those that know of the school, Parents' day provides reasonable obscurity, even if they don't have family enrolled. Another focus of Parents' Day 2007 is going to be Imp and Superhawk, on that note there's an idea in my head about how Ryan Chambers proposing to Candice Kade would go down- which might become a micro-scene or just end up in Bad Ideas for someone else to make into a micro-scene..

  • I was wondering about Christina Violante, her father is an Italian superhero.... however Christina is the english version of the name, the italian version is Cristina, without the 'H', is there a particular reason? I mean, her father might be italian, however moved to live in the USA, resulting in Christina being born in the USA and therefore reciving the English version. Or maybe she says Cristina, people hears Christina, and nobody catches on the mistake until it gets written, at which point explains the correct spelling.

Or maybe it's a detail that the author overlooked and I'm being an anally retentive nitpicker.

Mega-Girl has a special sort of common sense that lets her not prejudge other people. I think that she and Stronghold had a lot more common sense drilled into them during the Spring.

To support this, Adore is a Thornie, let us not forget. She probably can't control her powers at all.

Ribbon is immune because she's physically pre-pubescent, and mentally already well past that phase in her life (for now).

Roulette on the other hand is very receptive to Adore's uncontrollable aura.

Cait's less likely to be retaliatory. Remember, She's actually as much an adult as Ribbon and has some modicum of restraint. There's only a few ways to provoke her without actually attacking her, and she WANTS to have her job as a teacher back. Screw the funding from making stuff with the Three Maidens, she's not in it for the money. Caitlin wants, ultimately, to be a teacher again.

This wouldn't stop her from offering tips on ruining warper days, and if someone genuinely feels threatened, provide an escort to/from class when targeted. Most bullies shy away from witnesses. And Caitlin would do something like set the punk up to get nailed by Delarose.

    Jimmy T?

    All bets are off.

hell, Razorback's more likely. Or Anomaly, Hank Declan, Mule, and so on. Jericho would have a field day with Gravmax (once he got out of the gravity field and out of range) But so would most of the Kimbas.

But the kicker is, none of these characters is prone to organizing "Blanket parties" for imbeciles. They'll set it up so they catch the person in the act.

But ultimately, the question is... Will Roulette and Sapphire eventually stick it to Gravmax their way? Or will they wind up falling into the helpless damsel trap?

They might recruit Ribbon and some of their friends to help, but unless Gravmax actually touches them in some way, they aren't likely to run to older students or staff for help.

Gravmax just better hope that a member of Wondercute doesn't catch him in the act, because they will work up a plan to get him. Well Jade or Misty might retaliate on the spot, but Bunny, Anna, Molly, and Lindsey will get together with the rest to form a plan, probably with Sun's help.

  • Eh. The duct tape was special circumstances. Nephandus was trying to enslave her soul. That provokes exemplary retribution. Everyday bullying and harassment just doesn't merit that sort of thing.

Jimmy T loves him some duck tape too, some enhanced by Compiler duck tape.

I think the closest I got to a real reprimand from him was when I duct-taped one of the more furrier of abusers to a tree, sans most of their clothes. However the snickers from the security detail that were de-taping him from the tree, amongst yelps of pain, hinted at other things.

I did have some help on that one, though, as it's hard to get 'Bucky-fibered' duct-tape at the spur of the moment. Though I am sure Chief Delarose was mostly irked at the paperwork involved in the tape's 'appearance'. Not to mention the complaint of the Tapee. You can't just 'cut' the Bucky fibered Duct-Tape, you have to pull it off. Add one really large if not 'giant' Preying Mantis, one super-speedster and a roll of that tape, can you say 'Involuntary Wax Job?' Sure you can.

You see, Compiler had found a way to get her nano-bots to saturate the tape with Buckminster Fuller fiber chains and well; I think she is working on the patent rights for it.

Nephandus is just lucky that Cait hadn't gotten together with Babs.

  • Sapphire and her robe reminds of Selkies...

With all the Junior Highs appearing, I'm surprised we haven't seen the TLW, but they're in the more normal cottages. We're focusing on Hawthorne and Poe... Bet we'll see Bethany in Magic Theory? Then again, she might be beyond Magic 101...

Adore... She isn't in the Junior High program, right? Can't find the part that made me think that... ... Gotta update Junior High count for 2007-2008...

Might Roulette's powerset post-burnouts be related to what powers she's exposed to pre-burnout? ... Her non-sleeping burnouts aren't triggered by proximity to other mutants, are they?

A Little R&R 2: Alyss in Wondercute Land... How many Alice Allusions do we have now? Ecila, Alyss... I think that's it...

Ribbon is one of the R's of R&R 2... Who says that R&R still means Ribbon & Roulette in R&R 2? It could be some other phrase...

Christina Violante might not have known the name was in use. It should come up in November when she registers for her student MID that she cannot also be "Blue Streak",

From To The Mountain, Part 2 :

" ... Don’t worry about that part too much, your first codename is only temporary; you have until spring to finalize that. After that, it becomes a paperwork nightmare to change your codename. As an example, the villain ‘Wrecking Ball’ changed his name twelve years ago, and he’s still being referenced under ‘Power Pork.’”

The way she's behaved regarding who's acceptable to be her roommate, there could be some drama to come over that.

  • Kattsun posted this quote regarding the whole Miranda thing, but I noticed an interesting detail... highlighted for emphasis:

    Katssun wrote: A Little R&R pt 2:

Once Alyss was gone, Mrs. Cantrel led me to the dayroom, which already had a few students there. What caught my attention immediately, was that there were a couple little girls, who appeared to be about the same age as Alyss.
“These little ones are Miranda, Ember, and Revekah,” Mrs. Cantrel told me with a faint smile. “The fourth member in this little band of troublemakers is Morgan, and who knows where he is at the moment…”

    ...
was about halfway finished when I suddenly found myself surrounded by four girls, who all appeared to be the same age as me. However, unlike with me, I was pretty sure that these kids were the real deal.
“Hi,” a dark haired girl exclaimed with a broad grin as she sat down at my table, not waiting for any invitation. “I’m Ember…”
“You’re Amy’s friend, aren’t you?” another girl asked, and before I could answer, she added, “She’s nice…”
The first girl pointed to the one who’d just spoken, and said, “This is Miranda… And that’s Morgan and Revekah.”
“Hi,” I responded with a chuckle. “I’m Ribbon. Or Alyss…”
“That’s a really pretty dress,” Miranda said, pausing to give me a strange look.

So, besides the fact that Alyss' surname is Morgan and she will deal frequently with a student also called Morgan, which should make for a few misunderstandings...
...what IS Morgan's gender, after all? The name is pretty gender-neutral.Is Morgan a shifter?

Don't call me "Shirley." You will surely make me surly.

  • According to siblings and savages, Miranda's TK or Puzzle's little tablet means they can just borrow a brick or power armor jockey from their opponents whenever they need one. :cheer:

  • Forget that.

Just add Alyss, and some judicious coaching, and you will have one of the strongest teams at Whateley.

And that will be before they're allowed into the sims.

Though I bet they'll get early access actually, if only for Miranda to get experience and learn control of her TK.
