    Jadis is one of my favorites of all favs. I do not deny this. She is amazing.

    I'm glad to see Tansy trying to make up to Jadis. I'm glad to see Jadis having something in her life fixed a little bit.

    Does anybody else think that it would be hilarious to lock Ayla, Tansy, and Jadis in a room together? It wouldn't be very nice, but the awkwardness would be through the roof. I bet Murphy would go for it. Give them a large stack of literature to go through, but cherry pick it for themes of betrayal and bullying.

    • You'd actually have to lock Murphy in with them and let Jadis and Ayla wonder what the hell SHE was there for.

    Then realize that they won't be allowed out until they reconcile.

    Meanwhile...

    Murphy is rapidly getting bored, and even on a good day is disinclined to being Miss Sweetness & Light.

    • I really liked this one. Tansy goes way overboard on apologizing because she knows how deeply her betrayal hurt Jadis, and Jadis only partially forgives her. Not all wonderful fluffy goodness and instant reconciliation, more of an ache that's finally just started to fade.

    And Tansy knew it would go that way.

    It's a short piece, but it says so much.

    It's cute how well Jadis and Tansy know each other's tastes. Even with the iciness of the room, there's this familiarity that even Jadis and Ayla didn't quite have on the patio. They really were that close before.

    • I think the tension between Jadis and Ayla is the tension between a boy and a girl. I think a lot of it is because Jadis just doesn't know how to deal with boys, and Ayla really doesn't know how to deal with girls. Remember that although Ayla looks like a super-model in some ways, his equipment and mind are distinctly male. Oh and Jadis is very aware of that fact (that is that Ayla considers himself male) so she's sort of always looking for that subtle sign that says you poor dear, you must be lonely because you aren't one of the beautiful people. Not that faction 3 wouldn't consider her a 'pretty'...

    Yeah, except that by this point, that tension should be partially resolved. They kissed, and decided they were wrong for each other.

    I'd say it might be more of a case of "We live in rather different worlds and we know it." Jadis is just too used to being backstabbed. She expects it. Even if we the readers believe Ayla would never, Jadis may not be fully convinced of that herself.

    Hhm, based on the last few previous post before this one, it has something to do with why Jadis wasn't into Ayla. Could it be Jadis is a closeted lesbian and since she has never shown any interest in anyone in any of the stories which I can recall, we have no clue who she is attracted to. *goes back to stirring the pot* :whistle:
