Actually I'm quite intrigued with whats going on with Tansy. The life changes she's making as with the role that Ms Hartford has for her.
Are we going to see another side to the characters that is fleshed out and will Tansy want to continue justice against those that wronged her. How devious is her mind compared to the actual pro's in this new cloak and dagger role she entered.
She's being taken from a back player being brought to the forefront and I'm itching to read more about her and the relationship she's going to have with Ms Hartford and company.
Are Ms Hartford and Mrs. Carson using her to keep an eye on Kodiak and his quest to defeat 'The Beast'? And how far is she going to be used if it is such an act.

Tansy discovers her alternate sexuality, remembers Debra from the year before, and challenges Kayda for her. while the two are in a big smackdown, Lanie slips in, seduces Debra, and gets her to give in to her curiosity and run off with her and the Kodiak.
Distraught, Kayda runs off, never to be see again, while Tansy, unhappy at losing Debra AND Kayda AND Lanie, is apologizing to Ayla with a gift of some cognac she found in a closet, not knowing it's contaminated - and when they wake up the next morning, they're in a 4-way with Tissy and Nitro...

With Tansy, I really do think she'll get on a training team with Kodiak and Lanie somehow, trying to get them to realize she's useful in a fight and join the conspiracy. Beyond that, if she gets a summer story, I'm pretty sure she'll try to stand up to her father, and try to work out her feelings for women and men. How successful that is I have no idea.

Please say there will be mud. A good drawn out mud battle in skimpy bikinis that leaves everything to be desired, by both staff and students. (wait did I just cross the line there?)
Anyway Kayda didn't really run away.. She hid in the tunnels and eventually finds her way over to where Sara is hidden thus releasing her and an ever so gradful demon grands Kayda's fondest wish. A 58 corvette with sliding seat covers.

We've done some focus on Tansy and how her situation has been changing with her relationship with the Dom, Whateley and Ms Hartford.
But what of her relationship with the Don? It appears she had allowed herself to be used by him both sexually and monetarily. Now that the Don is starting to see his funds dry up what's his plans for trying to bring Tansy back under his control? This also includes his henchmen. Will he try to go back for more of the goo that he had hidden and use it on her in another attempt at blackmail? Or will he try to use his persuasion over her with the chance that it could backfire on him.
This also brings up Ms Hartford as we are given tidbits in what her role is going to be in Tansy's life. Will she bring favor once more to her as had been in the past by tempering some repercussions, depending on the level of the act? Just how deep is she with syndicate by being 'grey'. Is it just for a self serving role or is it much deeper? And what of Mrs. Carson's role? How deep is she involved given that she is considered a 'Hero'.
If found out how will others view her, both students and facility and even so, are there members of the board who themselves might be both aware of and/or part of the 'grays' also.
Why the sudden idea to use Tansy to infiltrate into Loophole, Kodiak, and I'm assuming Kayda's training group? Was this all brought about because of how Kodiak set up a group for the purpose of attacking the Beast.
Is the school, as in Mrs. Carson, looking to possibly supply the necessary armament as well as both Hero's and Greys in helping Kodiak achieve is goal? Or our we looking at where she's going to try and suppress them once she know more about whats going on?
But not everything is as simple as it seems. Stories overlap each other. Main characters play subtle rolls in others and vice versa. Of course this is to showcase the authors characters but at sometime a major event seems to be in the works.
But this part is Tansy's story. But not just about her, but Ms Hartfords too as with Mrs. Carson, to some extent as she plays a role in a 'lot' of everyone's story.

I believe the goo you are thinking of is Sara's lust essence and it is Speakeasy who used and hid it. And so far there has been no mention if Carson knows about what the Atlantean Society is really up to, although since Loophole is a part of it Cameron would have already told Mrs. Carson in order to help protect her mistress. With no mention by Mrs. Carson herself in story if she knows about the society's real purpose, there is no idea what kind of support she may or may give them in the fight against the Bastard.

But wasn't there mention of a new group when Cody applied for membership and created:
Excerpt from As Beauty Does.
If you want to be back on top, it's high time you learned how. For starters, we'll play in high school for a bit longer before you're ready to swim in a much deeper ocean, with much more dangerous fish. Wyatt Cody has formed a group on campus, a group he calls The Atlantean League. The folders include what we already know, and some information about Atlantis and other known Atlantian Societies.
You're going to infiltrate this 'League', you're going to find out what they're up to and you're going to keep me apprised of their actions and goals. If you do, things will remain on course and you'll see your fortunes continue to increase. If not, get comfortable with the Underdogs, it's where you'll be spending the rest of your life.
Now I'm just speculating in that events are crisscrossing each other and it may mean nothing or it may mean something given that Ms Hartford herself stated that she is Mrs. Carson's 'Bitch I'm sure that she is fully aware of Wyatts application and is most likely suspicious of him given who his avatar is.
Thanks for pointing things out. I'm new to this and my mind is not as sharp or as intelligent as many of the writers who have dreamed this up are. But I did decide to take the chance on learning and if it means coming off as a buffoon at times its a risk I'll have to live with. I am not that great of an orator, thus my reasons for lurking in the shadows.
I'll have to dig my way though the stories but I'm sure that Mrs. Carson was aware of the application. I don't think Ms Hartford would hold back that info given that I believe it was on Mrs. Carson's orders to infiltrate databases and such when trying to help out Kayda.

Anway, onto more serious matters. She's currently being pulled in multiple directions simultaneously - she wants to break free of her old ways, but Kody wants her to spy on The Don and Amelia wants her to spy on Kody. With regards to the latter, it'll be interesting to see how she determines the balance of what to reveal to Amelia that's new / unknown to her, while minimising the amount of critical material released. Maybe even, if she's smart enough, she can find a time / location to notify Kody of what's going on, so he can control the release of information.

Now, Tansy gets to pick where and for why she's applying that cunning. Odysseus was necessary for Achilles and the Illiad, though he will never be the hero of the war. Cunning, trickery, deceit and almost outright dishonor, but in the end what was necessary and was able to bring things to a close and prevent further deaths. Who then, is the real hero? The poster boy, or the one that does what needs doing even if no one else will ever know what was sacrificed to make it happen?
She's rapidly becoming one of my favorite characters, so well done

I was thinking Three would be a good fit. Mustang isn't Thunderbird or Coyote (two entities that have made it into common enough American lore that people, at least me, have heard of them). Then again he's not a random horse spirit either.
So assuming that there is variation in the sizes of the Hallow of an Avatar of the same rating. Tansy's AV-3 Hallow is up near the top size and Danny's AV-3 Hallow is just over the AV-2 size, Tansy has no problems and Danny suffers.
And that makes sense because Danny is Elrod's creation, and he just adopted Tansy.

Is it just me, or could there be some daughter symbolism or something there too?
Dauge, Daughter ... Coincidence? I think not? ... What would Hartford have chosen if Tansy was a guy? Or, would he have never been chosen? ... Or also called Dauge?
And I'm having a hard time finding any references for Dauge as a word and not as a last name?
It's Dague! Not Dauge!

(Wild Mass Guessing follows. Beware of the epileptic trees.)
Of course, if her old spirit is still there and managed to stay unnoticed, that might make for an interesting dynamic with the Mustang... might they merge? Would that result in the beginnings of a Force? Would that make Tansy a candidate for Champion-ness? Or would it result in some horse-hybrid spirit, such as a Pegasus or Unicorn spirit?
Also, it has been mentioned before... everybody is an avatar in the sense that they house their own spirit. Tatanka even mentioned that Tansy's spirit is "chained". If Tansy starts melding spirits in her hallow... what if she melds her own spirit to the Mustang? Would it result in a Centaur spirit?

HMMMM, interesting theory. If Tansy's old spirit is still in her hollow then having Mustang move in might cause the spirits to join. Two is company three's a crowd and all that. And yes that is pretty much how Forces are made.
As far as Champion goes, no, as Lady Astarte herself pointed out the Champion Force is far too masculine to be housed in a woman; and that holding it even for a short time was the hardest thing she ever done. However, it would make Tansy a candidate for the Astarte Force…

"Does Tansy have the past life of a Norman Princess because in her Dream Space..."
whateleyacademy.net/index.php/original-t...8-the-boys-of-summer
"Why am I dressed like a princess?"
Something about the bears tone to her mental voice suggests that she was smiling. "Because you think of yourself as one," Grizzly told her. "At some point, this," and the spirit made a vague gesture to encompass the room. "This is where you come from. My ex could probably be more accurate, but I would guess Norman invasion of England. Perhaps you are descended from some Knight or footman who fought in that conquest. In the same manner that my host is descended from the Picts to the north."
... Or... Could she have a male past life? Or do past lives usually / have to conform to the gender of the current body? ... Male past life in female body = lesbian???

- E. E. Nalley

Are the spirits bound to be a specific gender? No. Some spirits preferred gender and so reincarnate to that gender more often than not, some are more 50-50 and a rare minority only reincarnate into a specific gender but that's actually quite rare.
Note that that is the spirits choice, not any binding placed on it.

Perhaps you are descended from some Knight or footman who fought in that conquest.
Usually that knight or footman would need to take up with a lady if he ever hoped to have descendents. More than a little political acumen would also be needed for one of those descendents to be a princess. . .
And now I have a mental image of past-life Ayla trying to raise or marry past-life Tansy.
That said, even in the Western traditions, a human spirit that's 100% animus or 100% anima, cycle after cycle, should be rare.

Pretending to be an Exemplar-1. Still pretending to be only an Exemplar-2 as far as we can tell, there's a significant contrast between her "public debut" in Galatea Debutante and As Beauty Does. She still didn't seem to work up much of a sweat in the Arena, but she's very careful to hide what she's truly capable of in her private training quarters. As Beauty Does would seem to hint that she's at least an Exemplar-3.
She revealed to Kayda and Lanie that she's an Avatar
Was she in beginner magic class to gain additional skills like Phase, to learn some tips when dealing with the three little witches, because she was told to, or is she lying about her Wiz ratings too?
The only one we seem to have a even remotely accurate grasp of is her Psi rating, and a lot of the Whateley students don't seem to even know she has that. Most know she's a manipulative bitch, but not how she's been getting the information.

Team Kimba has known about her avatar trait since she "kidnapped" Jinn, I think that the administration must have known also since then because Tansy possessed by Jinn confessed to the staff about the whole thing if I remember correctly (I will have to look again at the exact nature of the confession). Tansy subscribes to the school of "downplay your abilities, so yor opponent can be caught off-guard." (from the wiki):Malady wrote: So, wait, Tansy got taken over by Skinwalker... I guess while he could have accessed all of her memories while he possessed her, he doesn't remember what he doesn't look for, so he doesn't know she's a AV 3+ or whatever, her PSI is better than stated, etc?
Solange is an Exemplar, Avatar and Telepath, although her exact ratings have not been definitely established in-story -- in particular, she hasn't been formally tested for her Avatar trait, which she kept secret for a long time.
Besides the whole Jinn thing, the only other incident mentioned before she met the stallion spirit was this one:
Back before she'd shown any of her other powers, back when she'd still been an ugly little fat girl, she'd always tried to get away from things. And Daddy's summer cottage was about as far away as you could get.
She'd hiked out on her own, once, trying to get to the "special spot" the groundskeepers always talked about. A little waterfall and pool that were supposed to be "something special."
It had been special, alright. She'd felt impossibly guilty at the time. With what she knew now, it was just some dumb nature spirit in its hallow. She'd stumbled into the spot and inadvertently sucked the spirit of the place into her. And had it given her any great powers or abilities? Hell no. It gave her "serenity" and an ability to gather peaceful animals around her.
As her fury had grown, she could feel the trapped spirit struggling to escape. From her point of view, it had been monstrously unfair. If she gained super powers, she was supposed to turn into some sort of beautiful mutant girl, so pretty that it hurt people to look at her. She wasn't supposed to gain the power to charm a bunch of god-dammed game animals.
Looking back on it, she was sure that it was her anger that clashed against the spirit's serenity. It has struggled desperately to be free. Even now, she wasn't sure whether it had escaped and returned to its hallow, or whether she had just shredded the useless thing in her rage. She'd certainly never returned to the spot. And there'd been even less need, when she finally did develop the type of powers she was supposed to have.
I feel sorry for that poor little spirit. I want to see Tansy go back and find it, and for it to be alright. * sniffle* poor Spirit. I hope its okay...

Fixed it for you. A girl's got to eat, y'know.
It may not be all the skeletons, as some of the bones could be re-used to make cute woodland creature puppets to lure the next generation in. Maybe it could save up the scent glands to make the puppets even more irresistable as they wander around the glade before heading back to the spirit's humble abode with suitors in tow (literally, for some species!)

That's just good sense...

So I guess taking some ideas from OWOD and NWOD roleplaying games Werewolf is a bad idea.
Like making hte spirit into a magath, two opposing spirits that have combined together and gone mad. So the spirit is now Tranquil Death and encourages things to find peace in death, spawning suicidal spirits that infect the material plane turning an area into something resembling Japans Suicide Forest.
Or going OWOD and simply having the painful death of the spirit create a wound that spawns unnatural toxic spirits making the entire area a wasteland of rot and death.

See? Think of the little creatures, now that they are beyond this realm of pain, as offerings to the being the spirit had hoped to join with. Perhaps they could yet serve as proof that the tranquility it had offered was truly something powerful and subtle, as would suit a princess?

Even now, she wasn't sure whether it had escaped and returned to its hallow, or whether she had just shredded the useless thing in her rage. She'd certainly never returned to the spot. And there'd been even less need, when she finally did develop the type of powers she was supposed to have.
I feel sorry for that poor little spirit. I want to see Tansy go back and find it, and for it to be alright. * sniffle* poor Spirit. I hope its okay...
I'm of the mind that that spirit might have bin still be inside of her. And when she got healed it the spirit inside of her was healed to.

God save me if you go to this lengths over a spirit, oy the wailing and gnashing of teeth with what's coming hits you! Oh, did I say that? Nothing to see, move along...

If we're not too busy arguing over the particular shade of some random door, or something equally inane, you mean? That's what we do, right?

Seriously, thank you for your time and effort. It is appreciated.

As long as the two didn't have a pact, maybe.

Otherwise, depending on the nature of the deal and relative strength of the participants, there could have just been a quiet murmur passing through the leaves somewhere between Might Have Been and Never Was.

It's been said how she was mocked and made fun of when she was younger... comparison with the herb may have come up at some point but the older Tansy would either have torn them down with extreme prejudice (before her change of heart) or tried to be the better person and ignored it.
