  • Hey guys. For those who don't know I am in Jacksonville Florida. My mother has just gotten out of surgery to repair what the surgeon described as "the largest hernia he he'd ever seen". She is in recovery waiting to be transferred to ICU due to her age etc. While the surgeon is very confident prayers and well wishes would be greatly appreciated.

I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it.

  • Your mother is in my prayers, E.E..

Thank You for story comments appreciated and help me know me they are being read and liked. :-) Note: My story comments can't nor are trying to replace reading the stories, simply my way of enjoying them and letting the authors know I enjoy them.

  • Well, she is in ICU where they are going to hold her unconscious for 48 hrs to let everything settle without pain. Still not out of the woods, but there is a clearing up ahead.

  • Prayer given, my grandfather just got out of surgery for a hernia as well as a few other things.

In the end reality is only consensual! It means that Al Gore is causing "Global Warming" by his rhetoric alone! Fortunately, there are enough Global Warming "Deniers" still about to keep him from boiling the planet.

  • I thought people might want to know my mom is sitting up in a chair this morning, supposedly without pain and talking. So that is wonderful news! Thanks very much to everyone who included her in their prayers or sent well wishes.

  • Glad to hear that E.E. ... fingers-crossed that the rest of the recovery goes as well.

  • As of this morning, the surgeon has mom off her IV and eating soft foods again! According to mom, the doc had this to say about the speed of her recovery: "I knew I was good, I didn't know I was this good!"

I suppose having an overconfident surgeon is better than one who's overly cautious…

I also told mom that I had asked for prayers here and was overwhelmed by the outpouring of them and she was very touched and made me promise to say a very heartfelt thank you from her for the well wishes!

  • Our people praying are the very best at praying. They offer well wishes and positive thoughts like no one you've ever seen before. People getting these prayers are getting better even before the doctors have a chance to work on them, it's completely unheard of.

    ;)
