I'm trying to find the first Kayda story (you could call it research...) so that I can reread it. I'd like to possibly (with her author's permission of course) have a cameo of Kayda in my Fan Fic that I'm working on. Thank you for your help.

Do you mean the Fanfic version?
It should be in my Sig-linked Archive, "ElrodW - Kayda 1 - P?" where P? is P01 to P03.

I'm dense, cause I don't seem to see it. But then like I said, total blockhead here. Like use it for a hammer most of the time without causing damage to anything except a few nails... But I sort of want to find the one that is here as the actual canon story.

Gonna walk you through the site in steps;
1. Find the Main Menu - on desktop its in the upper right corner and has button options like "Home" "Read Stories" "Discussions" "Backstory and Info". If you're using a mobile device, this menu will display very near the top, below the Crystal Hall logo graphic, but above even the login panel.
2. Click on Read Stories.
3. In the main section of the site, you will now see a blog style collection of stories with the most recent published at the top. You can, in theory, scroll through page after page of these until you find what you're looking for, but I don't recommend it. Instead, find the "Internal" or "Sidebar Menu" On desktop, this is easy... the sidebar menu is in the left sidebar, just below the Login panel and above the image gallery. In mobile view, you may have to scroll a little to find it, but it should be near the top, as only the Logo, the Main Menu, and the Login panel are above it. It will have the following options once you have clicked on Read Stories in the Main Menu: "Original Timeline" "2nd Gen Canon" "Featured WhatIF" "Whateley Independent Fiction" "Library" "Published" "My favorites" "Recommended Reading Orders" and "Search".
4. Click on Original Timeline, as that is the collection from what the Kayda stories belongs.
5. This will bring up a table with the complete collection of Original Timeline Canon stories... with the most recent at the top. You can flip the sorting by clicking on the date published, which will allow you to read from the start in the order of publication.... or sort by any of the other columns as well. In this particular case, you are looking for something specific though, so what you want are the filter options at the top at the center (if you are on a desktop). If you're on mobile, you'll need to scroll down past the sidebar until you find the headers "Original timeline / Original Canon" I'm not going to lie... this table and info is a LOT easier to parse on a desktop screen than a mobile. But it CAN be done on mobile if you have to.
6. Right below Original Canon is a text box, labeled "Author Filter". Type your story's author into that: "Elrod" and hit enter. This will reduce the 500+ story Original Timeline Collection down to just Elrod's contributions. Note that this isn't the same as just getting a couple results because he's contributed a LOT. But instead of going through 30-40 some pages of stories, you'll now find a much reduced list to skim through. If you happen to know that "Buffalo Gal..." was one of his early additions to the universe, you might resort by the publishing date... to find the oldest at the top. Alternately, given the title starts with a "B", you might sort by title, assuming that will get your piece near the top of the list.
Hope this helps you make better use of the site to find things in the future as well as the specific stories that you're looking for today!

Your advice helps, but only if I can recall the exact title of a story. If I'm unsure I hate to say, I start asking for help. Because if I hunt for something and can't find it shortly it just confirms what all the other reindeer said. 'You're too stupid to live. And there is that.... where I dast not dwell, else I take a long cold walk.

All the Kayda stories are indexed into one page on Big Closet / Top Shelf:
bigclosetr.us/topshelf/book-page/64886/kayda
Except it seems I never posted the short The Zica Encounter to BCTS.

Thank you. It looks like I should have stuck with my search for a bit longer. I just got frustrated because I couldn't recall the title.
