While I was drugged up after my stroke my Muse came up with a Voltron inspired devisor; she creates three ruffly real life sized mechanical beasts. thing is she appeared at least twice in my dreams once with lions and once with wolves and I can't decide which version I like best.

Maybe Lions is the version they start as, at full power, but Wolves are the energy-conserving battle-form or something?

I just had the idea she inherited the thing and wolf form is what happens when she makes them hers.

How about the Lion is the Head/Torso, and the Wolves are the arms and legs?

For some reason Muse thinks she needs to look like a teen Jessica Rabbit.

^ Maybe just wear bunny ears while using biotech to get a great bod?
Although, if she's Voltron-inspired, she doesn't do biotech? Could she trade something to a bio-dev for some slight tweaks?
Or is it just that her passion is Voltron and she's one of the rare multi-skilled?
... Crazy bio-guy injects her with a Transform Into Bugs Serum??

not sure yet, I haven't gotten my kids to school yet. damn eyes are making it tough to do computer work.
right now I have one eye closed to kill the blur effect. thankfully it's down to mostly just screens and car headlights at nigh that give me issues. I think, and need to bring it up, that I picked up some light sensitivity.

Well, you have multiple questions to ask there. Are you doing something that's more mechanical, like Voltron, with weapons, combining into a greater robot, or something more realistic that looks and feels like fur? And what do they do in general?
If I had to make a choice between the two, I'll have to admit, wolves would win.
Why? Location, location, location. Especially if they're meant to be looking realistic.
Lions are not only endangered, but they're only seen in the wild in, and around Africa. If you saw a lion outside of there, people would call in the zoo, and animal control, saying something's loose around them.
Wolves though are much more common around North America, Asia and Europe. Seeing some of those around might even get them mistaken for hybrid dogs or such, so much easier to keep under wraps.
Lions are bigger than wolves though, so lion units might be heavier, and carry more power capacity behind them.
You could also consider having both, indeed, or even a base frame that could shift into the two forms to fit the climate or situation.
Plenty of options to shuffle through when you think about it. :3

There's always the possibility of isolated populations of Panthera leo atrox or Panthera leo spelaea surviving to present day. As cryptids go, more outlandish survivals have been posited, and de-extinction for these makes somewhat more sense than dinosaurs.
Would animal control be called out on one or one be shot at? Without a doubt.

Isn't that the description of, say, Lapin? Except that Jessica did not have actual bunny ears and tail. Maybe Lola Bunny?Cryptic wrote: For some reason Muse thinks she needs to look like a teen Jessica Rabbit.

Maybe she's a real (but mutant) bunny piloting a nearly-human-sized anthro-bunny mech, which can disassemble into a group of autonomous puppy and kitty mechs. The bigger wolf / lion units are just the next step in a long term plan to Gurren Lagann her way up the food chain.

I'm game for a Jessica Rabbit. Just remember that her chest bounces opposite the way it should.
