There are some mutants from H1 families, Diamondback for one. But none of them have supported the group to any great extent. H1 is mostly in the background as a general threat and an annoyance, so no main characters have really dealt closely with the organization itself beyond avoiding it, except for Silver Ghost.
That could change in the future though.

There was an H1 friendly mutant (at least he worked for the MCO and an evil scientist against other mutants) called Cleaner (Ron Pruitt) in LightofFury's story called Negation.(ElrodW originally posted it which may have led someone to believe it was one of his)

    and

There was Wasamon's Scarlyt from his story A Study in Scarlyt who was a Rabidly H1 leaning teen who became a mutant in the course of the story. Truly a VERY dark story...

  • I couldn't find it in Wayback Machine, but I did find it, thanks to the link Malady has to Rubberjohn's archive. I downloaded that (the whole thing this time, not just the micros) and was able to bring the whole thing up again.

I can extract it for folks, but I don't know if it would be appropriate for anyone who isn't the author or an admin to repost it.

EDIT: I've put a BBcoded version of the story on my GDrive, if anyone wants a copy PM me and I'll give you the link and access to it.

  • Okay, I caught the references to Redwall, Valdemar, Echidna, Wolverine, Disney (although this one was easy), Frog and Toad, and the Tasmanian Devil, but if any of the others were referencing specific stories, I missed those.

  • Well, first to get out the way the two obvious ones: the "burn IDs" aliases Mephisto mentions are the Golden Age Hawkman and Indiana Jones.

Of the mess of names below... let me see... Dr. Amazing and Professor Quartermane are both canon, of course. Frank Hardy Jr. might be the son of one of the Hardy Boys. Dr. Germahn might be the fourth-wall-explaining-guy from El Goonish Shive. Dr. Osterman is probably Dr. Manhattan from Watchmen.

There's a whole Wilde family tree there which I assume is a reference to something or a bunch of somethings, but I have no idea what.

And besides the point, seeing Professor Quartermane's name again made me think... at the time Razzle Dazzle was published, I think Bek admitted that he was a homage to Professor Challenger. The wiki mentions also the name as being an Allan Quartermain nod, but I wonder if it is also intended to be an homage to Professor Bernard Quatermass...

Don't call me "Shirley." You will surely make me surly.

  • Not bad, but you missed what I expected to be second most obvious of them (after Dr. Jones, of course): Bruce Signe, the exemplar/gadgeteer rager. At least neither he nor his relative named Jennifer turn green when angry...

Whereas Terrence, Richard and Rose shouldn't really be related to them, since they all come from that other comic book company... and yeah, the trenchcoat comment is a clue. The Wilde family as a whole are canon, being part of the Doc Savage pastiche in 'Razzle Dazzle'.

That depends upon whether Jade is there for new Poe freshman, or comes in at a later date. After that, about 15 minutes, most of which Jade is gushing over the new cute little girl that looks younger than she does.

  • Good point. Hmmn, I bet they might also want my own fanfic character Serendipity, if they could get past the 'everything is always going my way' part.

OTOH, they will undoubtedly tap Clover if they could, and getting Clover and Serendipity together in the same place would be a Bad Idea...

  • Well, perhaps having everything go your way inadventently harms the people around you? Where does 'you' stop, and 'others' begin? ... Possible psychological: Do people like you due to your powers making it so, or ecause they actually do? And does it matter?

... Also, a villain with the power can still be beaten if choices/chances are restricted so the best that can happen for them, is still within the events that you want...

Yeah, this is a definite issue with luck manglers. It does necessarily even have to cause bad luck for others, but as with Teela Brown , it could simply end up that what is lucky for them isn't necessarily good for anyone else.

But I was thinking more about the fact that Lizzy and Clover are already going to be in the same classes (they'll both be 8th graders that year), which is a risky thing given the way probability warping can run wild when there are two or more manglers in close proximity. Having them on the same team as well would be a recipe for disaster.

  • No, you're right, it never comes out and says so; at that point she had no idea what powers she might have beyond her sex-related changes and some general Exemplar indicators. However, the story does imply that she is more than just normally lucky.

IIRC, what I said in the previous thread as EX-2, WA-3p, ESP-3par. She was described by one reader as 'that girl who all the other girls hate because everything always goes right for her'.

    @Domoviye:

So, I guess she has to finish her fights real quick, else she can't fight anymore due to exhaustion? Or is it a continuous range of power ups so she doesn't have to go "FULL POWER!" every time, and conserve energy that way?

She can only go up to full power as of yet. She can do many short bursts of a few seconds at a time, followed by normal energy expenditure, to go longer.
So running from the MCO, she would run normally along the street, turn a corner, power up and jump to a third story balcony, power down and climb onto the roof, jog to the edge, power up again jump across the road, jog, power up, jump, jog, etc, and keep doing it for about thirty minutes, wanting only a good meal and a chance to sit down for a bit.
If she powered up and ran for ten minutes , she'd be halfway across the city before it ended, but she'll be going to bed and not waking up for a while, after eating a huge meal.
    It's a very tactical power.

Miss Powerful is just a fun little character I came up with. I was thinking of making a series of short little events concerning her adventures. And running around with a car over her head to test out her strength seemed par for the course.

Going through old posts to patch my archives, and I came across Probably again...

I was wrong in thinking there weren't any indications of her girlness... "small girl in broad daylight" ...

So, how far along an event chain can she predict, and how far in the future?

For example, two steps would be:

95% chance he'd punch me. 30% chance for me to escape unhurt. If he punched me, 63% chance someone would help me.

A third step might be the chance that the hypothetical rescuer actually manages to be useful.

  • I didn't want to get too bogged down with details, so I just showed the most obvious ones.
As for how far she can predict, consider anything beyond the next minute or so as educated guesses with a bit of luck on her side.
If she somehow foiled a plot by an evil supervillain known for murderizing people successfully, and he knew lots about her, her power would say 90% chance he'd kill her very soon. Good educated guess.

  • Yes, they do have problems concealing their powers.
Marni is more out of self defense since she was outed almost immediately.
Miss Powerful is having too much fun playing hero to be really careful.
Rose has to use her powers or it drives her nuts, and unfortunately the school shop class is her only place to really do her projects.
    And Samantha, well, just wait.

  • Think about it for a bit - including about me - and it should be obvious from the clues given. Hint: I was going to call the story "Easy as Golden Apple Pie".

And before anyone asks, no, She didn't escape before the 'Lympies did; the Foreigner never caught Her in the first place, as she's actually an Anthropomorphic Archetype rather than a Goddess (Olympian or chthonic) per se. She managed to hide out in the north of Europe and disguised Herself as... well, you can probably guess that one.

Malady wrote: Wait, even Majestic? A.k.a Hera?!

Yep, She's tricksy that way; She managed to catch June when she was particularly pissed with Jason, then connived to make Majestic think that the best way to get even was to make Imperious jealous, and gee, June, here's this younger boy there right in front of you and he's just the sort of skinny geek Jason despises... However, She also managed to maneuver things so that Zeus never found out that it was the Cheese who had stolen his mouse.

Let me see here...tell me if I'm getting this right from both the scene and what you've written here.

Cheese (WU) = Loki (Norse) = Eris (Greek)

Does that about sum up where you're going?

  • We have a winner!

Though you missed the part about '= Dr. Timothy Leary'.

I was humming along with my iPod, which had cued up an old Moody Blues song about a former self of mine. Alas, poor Timmy, he was a great host: so placid, so intelligent, so inspiring, such a tremendous pain in the arse for the Powers That Be.

The song in question was, of course, "The Legend of a Mind", AKA "Timothy Leary's Dead". The timing is a problem - in the real world, Leary died in 1996, which would make von Maas ten at the oldest - but who knows how things went in that world... also, I was assuming that Eris/Loki was jumping from human host to human host before mutants appeared (same as I had for the character of Euterpe), so it may not have been a permanent bond.

It's not like you're limited by any of the justifications for the LawOfConservationOfDetail...

Did she travel all the way down to Miami to meet Lightning Strike?

I wrote several of these to get an idea of a few new characters and other reasons. Then I thought some of them were really funny, so I posted them. No real big plan at first. Then I got a good idea and ran with it. I can write these out really easy in a few minutes between work, and writing bigger stories as a bit of a breather.
And I'll put out one to three a week, since I'm not ready yet to show the big thing. Don't worry it's going to be really satisfying at the end.

I cannot/will not say how many people are in the Miami Crusaders. That's for far in the future.

  • @cryptic: The Dr. High micro reminded me of a question I once had: are their any WU supers (mutant or otherwise) with Ecstatic-fueled powers? I know there are some who can synthesize psychoactive drugs, either from their own bodies or by devisor chemistry, and at least one (Bliss, of the Brooklyn Sentinels) who can induce euphoria psychically, but do any of the Dylans (or anyone else) actually have powers that require them to be in a chemically or emotionally altered state of consciousness in order to work (like the OWoD Cult of Ecstasy mages)? Or conversely, powers that cause them to act intoxicated while they use them (al la The Creeper)?

Not that I'm aware of. Dr. High kind of spawned from the DC character Dr Bong.

And I couldn't find the DC Comics Dr. Bong. I did find a Marvel Dr. Bong (an enemy of Howard the Duck), who has a bell-shaped helmet that he can strike producing several kinds of effects from the "bong" sound: goodcomics.comicbookresources.com/2007/0...s-to-love-comics-90/

Or is it just coincidence that 2/3 Rose's Gadgeteering Scenes have her with vehicles?

  • She actually doesn't specialize in one area. She usually sees how something is made and can fix it. If she has the blueprints she understands them and can make them and add tweaks it to. She can also remember them extremely well. She can't really make things on her own.
So she is not as strong as most gadgeteers, she needs to see it to make it, but she is versatile. And she can surprise people with a few little surprises.

And so far she's made a prank bomb, a bike engine, fixed a laser pointer and a light, and made an expandable shield.

How complete do the blueprints need to be? ... Could she take the scattershot notes of a manic Gadgeteer and copy their Gadget?

Or be a quick Devise Test? 'Cause it seems she can detect Devised components, as seen when Mind Over Matter gave her that Devise-Gadget Laser Pen?

  • She could test for devises.
As for blueprints, if it was missing key points, it wouldn't work. A bit of wiring missing, a page showing how gears fit together, she could figure it out. As she gets more practical experience the less of the blueprints she needs. But she'll always need them.

Yeah, I have mention in the past how I have hypersensitivity, that hypersensitivity is for four out of the five basic senses, all but taste. I wont say anymore because I don't know whether they will end up being spoilers yet.

    Also, me proofreading? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

I nearly failed multiple English courses I've taken, and it's my first language.

Note on onomatopoeia: my laugh sound absolutely nothing like you are imagining but it is hard to represent without phonetic characters and music sheets.

And mentioning more about hypersensitivity would spoil the French tickler and spanking scene.

  • Heh. What if Rose's parents are right? Maybe she isn't a mutant - she's just a baseline with a family curse or blessing that follows similar lines to the gadgeteering trait!

That's nearly impossible, assuming that the engine is still aluminum and was a gasoline engine, temperature tolerances, oils chemically reacting with each other, not to mention the additional filters to clean the fuel, if it's used kitchen oil, if it was a diesel engine the wider fuel options would be feasible, due to cylinder size and higher temperature tolerance, Rose may need blueprints but she's otherwise a high level gadgeteer. I have to assume that the blueprints are just for visualization purposes now, and eventually she may start making her own.

    Edit also "When" is Rose?

  • Ok, I'll go with kitchen oil only, or similar oils.
She is 2006 early 2007. Marni is late 2006 to summer 2007. Samantha is 2001 onwards. Miss powerful is early 2007.

Well maybe if gadgeteer would follow the laws we wouldn't be tempted to cal her a devisor.

Remember the difference between a Gadgeteer and a Devisor is reproducibility, not whether they understand how it works or not.

    Powerset:

Domoviye wrote: She actually doesn't specialize in one area. She usually sees how something is made and can fix it. If she has the blueprints she understands them and can make them and add tweaks it to. She can also remember them extremely well. She can't really make things on her own.
So she is not as strong as most gadgeteers, she needs to see it to make it, but she is versatile.

Possibly? ... I was trying to say that once we were given this:

Domoviye wrote: She usually sees how something is made and can fix it. If she has the blueprints she understands them and can make them and add tweaks it to. ... she needs to see it to make it, but she is versatile.

I was working under the assumption that Rose, unlike a usual Gadgeteer, would have to understand how her gadgets work, in order for her to make improvements on it, instead of working from Gadgeteer intuition or whatever and making something that accomplishes some purpose, but is a black box until reverse engineered or analyzed.

  • Except for my hearing, which is actually poor in some respects but trained to catch everything, my senses are normal or weak. So showing Marni's heightened senses is not easy, especially in a micro scene.

Ok here's a piece of advice from an avid reader with really good senses. It's not about the big things it is about the little ones. Someone who genuinely lives with more powerful sense won't notice that they are different, you have to show that they are different with how they notice or react to things. They don't even have to react before others as long as they react appropriately.

For instance, at the sound of screeching tires most people look up in surprise or search for the car, I on the other hand cringe in pain.

Even smaller things that most people wouldn't even know to associate with heightened senses can make the character feel more correct. I never leave the house without a hat on. Why? Because I find sunlight painful.

  • This bit was non-Whateley, but the current conversation kind of reminded me of it so I thought I'd throw it out there.

And now that I think about it, this bit with the bugs gives new meaning to another deleted scene that would have happened earlier in the story. It involved some little kids running around her in a circle, chanting "Dawn's a witch! Dawn's a witch! Dawn's a twitchy itchy witch!"

  • Kettlekorn, being able to feel all the bugs like she does would drive me nuts.
I hope she learns how to control her senses before she gets into a bed that might have lice or bedbugs, hundreds or thousands of those things crawling all over her might make her insane.

Cryptic, seeing a woman with a real Barbie doll anatomy would be freaky. I can understand someone screaming at seeing it.

With the second story why would the water panther panic at seeing Kayda. She killed the first one because it was tainted and attacked her, so an untainted spirit shouldn't have a problem with her.

  • Maybe it doesn't know the details, or doesn't know if Kayda knows the details. Imagine you're a redhead in a world where red hair is magic. Now imagine that you meet somebody who is wearing a wig made from the scalp and hair of a redhead who attacked them a few months ago. I think I'd be nervous in a situation like that.

As for Domo's question about the reaction, I will go with "Kayda had the spines," As well as Missy senses her kin be killed some how.

    A long while.

Most of my stories have a happy-ish ending.

Come on, Estelle came out the better for all her traumatizing, nearly soul shattering problems. And Kota (whose backstory I had little to do with) is practically thriving.
Caroline is doing well to, except that I made her go blind.
And Rona only has a fear of being trapped, and guilt. But she went from a fat boy to a hot girl with superpowers, and her mom is getting married to a rich superhero, she should be happy.

Hmm... Is the stone a red-herring, and instead Sam gets attacked 'cause she's got the stone, and the attack gives her powers somehow, like hit with a Devisor's beam or something...

We've never seen anyone implant a Power Stone into their bodies, right? Like a false eye, a tooth, etc?

  • So far, the only things we've seen like that are Mephisto's 'Cerebrex' scam, and the lead character in the fanfic "Keeping Cool" (which hasn't been re-posted yet, probably because Wasamon is now a Canon writer). Red Thunder (of SPECTRUM) is described as being bound to a power gem in some way, but no details are given; it may simply be like with Starstone, who is attuned to the gems but not physically merged or attached to them.

  • Also the first half doesn't quite ring true. It's like Kayda was having a diff conversation.

So Kayda, what are you planning on doing do you have plans for Halloween?” Punch asked as she hung up her own costume in the closet.

Kayda let out a sigh. “Yeah I do, but it wasn't my idea. Clover was reading Tatanka Tall Tales the other week. He was working in private sessions with the Three...” she shook her head. “You'll have to wait and see, they want it to be a surprise. I'm just worried that this will blow up in my face.”

    ~
    November October 31st

Kayda gingerly stepped into the auditorium, ducking under the door's header, Tatanka right beside her. She felt weird wearing the tight blue jeans and red flannel shirt knotted in the front, not to mention the fact that the Three Little Witches had worked out a spell that replicated the effects of size warping. She would have settled for a glamour spell that made her look taller, but no that wasn't good enough. At least she was armed, though it was not with the tomahawk she preferred, but a heavy headed double bladed chopping ax.

“Soso who are you supposed to be?” Jimmy T, or so the her name badge said, as Angela Lansbury certainly didn't look like Jimmy T, now having to look asked looking up at Kayda.

“Babe the big blue bison and his human Paula Bunyan.” Standing next to his larger than life human, Tanaka rumbled, he'd ever grown even allowed the Three Little Witches to color his fur Smurf blue, a smirk on his muzzle.

Don't mean to step on your work Cryptic.

It's just a really good safe, which she thinks is strange because she already has safes and a very good security system. That's where half of her debt came from.

I was also an agent for the OSS, the FBI, the American State Department, G-2, American Naval Intelligence, the British Foreign Office, the Special Branch, MI-5, MI-6, Polish Intelligence, Turkish Intelligence, and the OGPU (that was Russian Intelligence back then). • Before anyone asks, as far as I know there is no Candler mansion in Atlanta, and a brief search turns up no male great-grandchildren of the original Asa Candler to be Bo's father, but it seemed to fit with what we know about Ophelia Tenant. Similarly, I figured that we knew so little about Raul Tenant - including whether the two were married or not or if the names were coincidence - that I had free rein when writing a fanfic.

I kind of have ideas for scenes where Bo/Opie meets Raul, Helen Foreman (later Cantrel), and Clarissa Cole (the future Nefertari) on the bus from Berlin, but it hasn't quite gelled yet.

Oh, and one more note: Raul's great-grandfather was from one of the Portuguese-speaking towns in Newfoundland; as I understand it, there were several such villages in the Maritimes and the New England area of the US (including one that was still thriving on Cape Cod when I was last there in the early 1990s, though now mostly speaking English and incorporated into Provincetown, where it is just another to a touristy neighborhood) which were founded at the end of the 19th century by fishermen working the cod fisheries. In the 1930s, he and his young wife moved to Montreal to find work (after having struck out in Halifax, and figuring French would be easier for his wife to learn than English), which is where the elder Raul was born. Despite his wife's insistence, he never did change his name to the more Francophonic 'Raoul', and his daughter decided to honor that with her own son's name.

  • OK, that would put Raul and Ophelia at about... 37 years old as of Gen1, which seems to fit the way they have been generally portrayed -- I got the sense of people in their prime, with a lot of experience yet still youthful enough. And Nefertari at the same age is also believable for a veteran super, particularly if she has some Exemplar to prolong her youth.

But I got the sense of Mrs. Cantrel as an older women, nearing what's generally thought of as "retirement age" -- that is, over fifty at least. Not only for her general behavior and the way she addresses the kids, but also because she's dating Gunny Bardue... and the fact that she refers to Fubar (who is, I think, over thirty) as a "boy". So perhaps she's an *adult* they meet at Whateley; one of the teachers, maybe.

Don't call me "Shirley." You will surely make me surly.

  • Here is Ayla's description of Mrs. Cantrel:

We walked in, and we met the house mother. Actually, she was more ‘house’ than ‘mother’. She was a huge, ancient, immobile structure. She looked old enough to have once been Mrs. Ryan’s nanny. She was in an oversized wheelchair, and she filled it completely. And it wasn’t really a wheelchair, since it had no wheels. At the four corners of the base, the chair had glowing golden softballs, and there were more control knobs on her armrests than on an entire set of stereo system components.

    Toni's:

We were received by Ms. Cantrel, the housemother at Hawthorne. She’s a large, black woman in a wheelchair, who looks to be about two days younger’n dirt. But this chair had been jazzed up like you would not believe! It had no wheels, but glowing golden orbs at each corner, each orb the size of a grapefruit. It didn’t just hover, it zipped around like a dragonfly. A size 150 dragonfly, XXXXL.

    Jade's:

The were received by Ms. Cantrel, the house mother at Hawthorne. She was a large, elderly black woman in a wheelchair. But, like some of the other wheelchairs on campus, this one had been significantly modified. In fact, this one seemed more modified than any of the others Jade had seen. It had no wheels, but glowing golden orbs at each corner, each orb the size of a grapefruit. The wheelchair didn’t merely hover, it positively swooshed about. It moved faster than they expected, giving the house mother surprising speed for someone of her bulk.

So I would guess that she is probably at least 60.

  • I'll admit that I dropped the ball on Mrs. Cantrel, so maybe I will skip that. Thanks for the catch, though.

As for the Ace of Spies versus Simon DeVille, I sort of wanted to do something with Sidney Reilly since the first time I saw the mention of him in "Razzle Dazzle". I even bothered to look up a few historical factoids about him on Wicked-Pedo , not that there's much anyone really knows for sure. Apparently, while almost everyone agrees that he was born in Ukraine sometime between 1870 and 1880, that he was probably of Jewish descent, and that he was an active agent of the British Crown at various points, that's about all anyone can say for certain; even his original name is unknown. Kind of appropriate for one of the people who inspired James Bond.

  • Sir Lee, I don't know if you were talking to me or to Malady, but I'll check it out all the same.

In turn, you might want to see some of the more meta-fictional Sith Academy pieces, such as "The Thirteenth Mary Sue" and "The Sphere of Alterations", though you'd probably need to read a bunch of earlier stories (up to around #40, at least) in the series in order for them to make any sense. Also, the series is full of 1999-2001 period topical jokes, and a lot that stuff aged poorly, but some of the them are still funny even after fifteen years.

    ... Memory from a pre-Sundering Catgirl/Catelf civ?

Oh! ... Well, an Ebidium safe might have been nice now? ... Better set that Gem in something? So it's voluntary powering. Sorta.

Weird Power Gem, or just a gem with a Entity inside? I guess we'll find out later!

  • Marni is in a VERY dangerous state of mind.

Domo when you complete these, or at some point, will you put them in dedicated stories? Even if its collection of excerpt style, it will make things easier to recap.

  • Preparing for the mind-blowing!

Hmm... Where is she going? I'd think to one of the other girls... But, probably not, as they're pretty far from each other? ... Need to revisit that Geography...

Now I've come up with the idea that Rose's powers won't matter, 'cause she'll get the Cat's Eye.

But, you said 'exact' powers, and that could happen if Rose becomes basically a general Gadgeteer with enough knowledge, so the limitations of her precise Gadgeteer expression don't matter.

Yeah, Marni doesn't have a good time of things.
She still has pretty good luck overall. There are worse things that can happen to her.

As for combining them all. Maybe.
Parts of these will come up in other stories, and some will be little easter eggs.

Marni is in California, Miss Powerful is in Miami, Rose is in Missouri, Samantha is undisclosed.

Just so everyone knows, Rose has about five scenes left, Marni 8+, Samantha 8 or so. Miss Powerful is basically done except when I need some amusement. And then hopefully the big event will be ready.

  • Well, there's the California Crusaders... IIRC...

The achronic nature of the snippets makes guessing... Nevermind, they're released in chronological for their character, IIRC.

Still can't make any guesses where I like my chances where Rose's plot is going. Or any other plot for that matter.

"Aw crap," the stout man muttered before wiping his hands on the front of his overalls and quickly waddling for the door. "Hey! Luigee," he called as he pushed through, "better start filling the buckets, Domoviye's up to his tricks again and this time he's promising brains as well!"

Miss Powerful is out of order. Hers really doesn't matter much.
    Rose is mostly in order.
    Everyone else is in order.

I'll give you a small hint of what's coming. Here are two anonymous quotes from a person who read all of them. Even the ones that won't be posted for a year or two. Yes I have microscenes planned for over two years away.

    "CURSE YOU, DOMOVIYE!!!"
"you are a cruel, cruel excuse for a human being"

I'll take that challenge. My guess, the images Sam saw are from a past life, a were warrior who was protecting her tribe and probably perished in battle. She is reborn throughout the ages and the Catseye gem is the last piece of the key to unlocking memories and powers from the past life. Or the Catseye gem holds the spirit of a were warrior and can only bond with a descendant of said warrior.

Thank You for story comments appreciated and help me know me they are being read and liked. :-) Note: My story comments can't nor are trying to replace reading the stories, simply my way of enjoying them and letting the authors know I enjoy them.

  • Neither am I. Unfortunately 75% of young teens are sexually assaulted within three days of running away to live on the street, so she got started early. Fortunately she was able to make him suffer for it. Too bad in the state of mind she's in right now, she is reacting badly to defending herself.

Google facts about runaways, or teens living on the street. I've done some research on it for stories, not pretty stuff. It's worse when you realize that stray dogs get more money spent on them than street kids.

  • @Malady: Not just California Crusaders, but also West Coast League, Hollywood All-Stars, and probably a few others just in La-La Land alone, plus who knows how many independents and street heroes. If Los Angeles has fewer supers running around than the Big Apple does, it probably isn't by much.

I actually did think Gangnam Style was about Gundams the first time I heard it, for the first thirty seconds or so. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like anybody has made an actual parody song of that nature, only parody videos . One of these days I'll need to learn how to sing so I can correct oversights like this.

combustion bender with a piece of armor wrapped around the head by metal bending, all but book 2 of Korra is good, book 2 you have to watch as a movie to minimize the pacing issues, other than that though, Korra is beautifully darker as a show then Last Airbender, far fewer avatar state victories and cheesy antics, and far more psychological trauma amongst other things, think about how much Elrod would try to get away with in a Nick job, tone it down just enough for family ratings and there you go.
